Kindred Spirit's text reads: Name: Kindred Spirits [Sabbat, SW, CE] Cardtype: Action Discipline: Dementation [dem] (D) Bleed any Methuselah. Gain 1 pool if bleed is successful. [DEM] As above, with +1 bleed. Thus, if I successfully bleed with a Kindred Spirits, and thereafter I play a Spying Mission at superior, do I gain 1 pool from the KS. (according to Spying Mission's CE rewording): Name: Spying Mission [Jyhad, V:TES, CE] Cardtype: Action Modifier Discipline: Obfuscate [obf] This acting vampire gets +1 stealth. [OBF] Only usable when a bleed is successful. Instead of removing pool from the Methuselah you're bleeding, put this card on the acting vampire. The next time this vampire successfully bleeds the same Methuselah, burn this card for +2 bleed. Greetings, Damnans

[ quoted text not captured ] OK, I searched on Google on "successful bleed author:lsj" and found this: http://groups.google.com/groups?&selm=3D625AA8.6C43DA50%40white-wolf.com ...in which LSJ states "A successful bleed is a bleed action that is successful and resolves with a bleed amount of 1 or more." That should answer your question of how these 2 cards interract. (I think it is an *extreme* problem that this sentence is not in the rulebook, since new players will have *no way* of understanding this, if they learn to play without an experienced player, and experienced players (such as Damnans) will continue to ask these type of questions.) Lasombra, how about making this question the new FAQ [3.35], and "What is a successful bleed?" the new FAQ [2.12]? > > Greetings, > Damnans Kevin M., Prince of Henderson, NV (USA) "Know your enemy, and know yourself; in one-thousand battles you shall never be in peril." -- Sun Tzu, *The Art of War* "Contentment... The edge is gained when the bleed action succeeds and the bleed amount is one or more. [6.1.1] Which is paraphrased as: the edge is gained when a player "successfully bleeds." [1.2.3] Indicating what is meant by "successful bleed" (to those to whom it isn't intuitive). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I agree with your statements, of course. It's just a shame that it has to be that complicated, that you have to cite two sections of the rulebook, then connect the dots, instead of just having down in black and white a fundamental aspect of the game. > LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. > Links to V:TES news, rules, cards, utilities, and tournament calendar: > http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/ Kevin M., Prince of Henderson, NV (USA) [ quoted text not captured ]
