So, here they are: Taste of Vitae Only usable after strike resolution. This vampire gains an amount of blood equal to the amount lost by the opposing vampire to damage during this round of combat. Not usable by a vampire going into torpor. Blood loss counted by a previous Taste of Vitae is not counted again. Well, I think that means that a vampire cannnot use this card when in combat with an ally and cannot taste the blood (-damage) when it kills a retainer? Gun愀 & Ghouls When a vampire bears two guns (i. e. .44 Magnum and Saturday-Night Special) can he use two maneuvers and then choose which gun he wants to use for the strike? When a vampire bears two guns and employs a Ghoul Retainer is it possible for the ghoul to use the maneuver of one of the guns to set the range or can he only shoot with the gun? Can a Ghoul Retainer shoot with the gun even when the opposing minion played an Immortal Grapple? Is it possible for the Ghoul to shoot at retainers? I think I know the answers mainly, but just to be sure... Thanks in advance.

Both correct. > When a vampire bears two guns (i. e. .44 Magnum and Saturday-Night > Special) can he use two maneuvers and then choose which gun he wants > to use for the strike? No. Whichever weapon he maneuvers with first will be the weapon he has to strike with, and he will not be able to use the maneuver of the second weapon until a second (or later) round of combat. He can use the second weapon with additional strikes, but still won't be able to use its maneuver in that round. > When a vampire bears two guns and employs a Ghoul Retainer is it > possible for the ghoul to use the maneuver of one of the guns to set > the range or can he only shoot with the gun? The Ghoul can only use the weapon during strike resolution, therefore he cannot use the maneuver granted by the weapon. Per the official clarified card text here: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Cardlist.html > Can a Ghoul Retainer shoot with the gun even when the opposing minion > played an Immortal Grapple? Yes. The Ghoul Retainer using the weapon isn't doing so as a strike, so is not affected by the Immortal Grapple. I presume that the ghoul is considered at the same range as the minion who controls it (which while simplifying things does seem strange given that to shoot AT a retainer you must be at long range) i.e.: during a round which is at close range the ghoul could NOT use a Mark V or sniper rifle (usable only at long range) And while we're playing with equipment questions..... Minion blocks with sniper rifle, sets range as per card text. Minion plays Psyche! at end of round to start new combat. Can the Sniper rifle be used to set the range in the first round of that combat also? -JTP
