Okay, let's just get a few obvious bits down: If I hit you with Coma, and then a Dawn Opped DotB damage, and you have 0 blood, you burn, right? So does Coma make you wounded? Or is that the fact that you are on your way to torpor, rather than the strike, as opposed to unhealed agg damage which, whether you are on your way to torpor or not, wounds you? And if so, would taking 1 agg damage that you couldn't heal whilst under the effects of a Undead Persistence to prevent a Coma torporsing you right now burn you? -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "But I don't have the right to be with you tonight, so please leave me alone with no saviour in sight. This is why I wanted the term "wounded" to be specifically defined in the rulebook. Not quite following your questions, so here's a little exposition: Coma's resolution makes you wounded, since you are now "on your way to torpor". Failing to heal damage (regular or agg damage) at any time means that you are wounded (and you can never heal agg damage, by definition). > And if so, would taking 1 agg damage that you couldn't heal Every 1 agg is 1 agg you can't heal. > whilst under the effects of a Undead Persistence to prevent a > Coma torporsing you right now burn you? "whilst under the effects of a Undead Persistence" typically means "having unhealed damage" (in which case, the anser would be: yes, you have to burn a blood for a point of agg damage or be burned), but, since you don't actually have any unhealed damage in this case (nor are you "otherwise in or on your way to torpor"), then a point of agg damage won't burn you (since you aren't wounded). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. As I understood it, from the original errata (and the rulebook), it's the "unhealed damage" that makes you wounded - not the actual trip to torpor. Though most examples since have given the occasion of going to/being in torpor as an example of wounded-ness - such that Coma would count. [ quoted text not captured ]

The rulebook doesn't actually define the term "wounded" or use it for any decision-making. But it does say that torpor is "only for ... wounded vampires" [2.3]. So the idea that vampires in torpor (or on their way to torpor) are "wounded" isn't much of a novelty. But the rulebook rules on agg damage only indicate that a vampire "with unhealed damage" would be burned by agg damage, so that part is an extension (to include other wounded vampires in addition to the ones "with unhealed damage"). To re-iterate, the working definition of wounded is: having unhealed damage or otherwise being in or on the way to torpor. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. What kind of bribe do I need to offer to get "wounded" defined in the rulebook? :) Noal -- "What you cannot enforce, do not command." -- Socrates [ quoted text not captured ]

The term wasn't defined when the current rulebook was made, so it wasn't included. Now that that has changed, it's pretty clear that it will be in the next rulebook. [ quoted text not captured ]
