I made some research on the newsgroup, but the answer seems to be lost among other questions (and apparently the rules changed at least once with FN). I've got Agatha in play (4 cap vampire with no special). Can I *voluntarily* influence 4 pool on an uncontrolled Agatha ? (I think you can because you're not contesting Agatha when you use your transfers. The fact that she comes into play at the end of the influence phase is a game mecanism, that leads to self-contest and the fact the new Agatha is burned.)

Yes. This is a weird seeming rules interaction that seems confusing if you aren't thinking about it really hard: A) You can't voluntarily bring a second copy of a unique card you control into play. If you involuntarily do so, the new, incoming copy burns. B) Putting pool on uncontrolled vampires isn't breaking the "A" rule above. And uncontrolled vampires with enough pool on them to become controlled come into play involuntarily at the end of the influence phase, so flipping over a new copy of a unique vampire you have in play also isn't breaking the "A" rule above. So you can transfer to a second copy of a unique vampire you have in play. And then if that unique vampire has enough blood to become controlled, it becomes controlled. And then it looks at the table, sees that it is already there, and then burns. > (I think you can because you're not contesting Agatha when you use > your transfers. It also allows you to bring a second copy of Jimmy Dunn into play, which is often a good idea if the first one is, like, in torpor or living in a van down by the river. -Peter

You shouldn't have put Highway Haven: RV in your deck in the first place. Ohhh! to the wallpaper thread, stat! -- salem (replace 'hotmail' with 'gmail' to email) Bodybag, too

Where I come from, "Living in the van down by the river" is code for "Pentex Subverted". But I didn't actually expect anyone to know that--I was happy being incomprehensible. Which is even better when we get replies like this! > Ohhh! to the wallpaper thread, stat! I'm on my way! -Peter
