Couple of related questions about the superior effect of The Jones: 1. The Jones is played at superior to cancel a Majesty played at superior. Is the untap effect of Majesty still valid, or is it considered to be part of the strike? 2. The Jones is played at superior to cancel a Lucky Blow. Does the "Do not replace until end of combat" clause of LB still hold? Thanks, Matt Hirsch

That would make it clearer to the newly initiated.

No. It should be considered to say "Do not replace until end of combat". As and when combat ends, you replace it. This may, or may not, coincide with the end of the action. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D Close your eyes so you don't feel them EBD690ECD7A1F They don't need to see you cry B457CA213D7E6 I can't promise I will heal you, but if you want to I will try 68C3695D623D5D

[ quoted text not captured ] No. It's a combat card. I fail to see how any other wording would be clearer. Only non-combat cards need to avoid assuming combat occurs. [ quoted text not captured ]
