No, but only because all of those cards fell off
when the vampire went to the ash heap, not because
Possession failed to maintain the connection.

No, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that the other cards get
discarded, and for them, that is that. While that may not make sense
story-wise, I think that's the way the rules work.
