Say that Duck has no blood on him at the beginning of my turn. He has to
hunt, but my prey's Brazil blocks with Spirit's Touch. I play Change of
Target to untap both guys. Duck still has no blood so he has to hunt but
Change of Target says you can't take the same action. What happens?
Nik wants to equip with an Ivory Bow but Didi Meyers blocks with Enhanced
Sences. Nik plays Change of Target to untap both vampires. Can Nik now
equip with a different piece of equipment or is equipping always
considered the same action?
Thanks for any replies.

Duck must hunt (since he is empty) and cannot (since he played CoT).
He is stuck and can take no action until your next turn (he can still block).

Every action that looks different is (officially). Equip with E is the
action - change the E and you change th action. Nik may now
equip with anything except another Ivory Bow. Similarly for calling
a diferent vote, employing a different retainer, encountering a different
vampire in torpor (or the same vampire with a different intention), etc.

You might want to add that NO ONE can do anything until your next turn.
With V:tES, your empty vampires have to hunt before anyone can do anything.

For those of you who don't use any of the house rules of LSJ (beautiful
with their dissenting opinions and such. Thanks! :), I suggest it. As
he aludes to, the official rules for different actions are weak. One
house rule that I suggest is the definition of "the same action" be
anything of the same type of action: all equips, all bleeds, etc. are the
same action. Thus Legal Manipulation, followed by Change of Target
cannot be followed by Govern the Unaligned. It works well.

Duck does nothing, same thing if you have a talbots and no blood, you are stuck.

I'm not sure and it is some what subject to interpetation. I say equip is an
action (no matter what it is with) (Then again I say vote is an action, no mater
the vote)
