Drawing vs Aye question LSJ

This Laibon may tap this card to cancel a Frenzy card played on him or her as it is played. ..etc Does the cancelling of the frenzy card cancel the, "A vampire can only play 1 drawing out the beast each combat," section of drawing? Or could a vampire play another one after Aye has canceled it? Will Pearson

The key phrase here is "as it is played" Since it is cancelled "as it is played" the card is already played and thus cannot be replayed this combat. The same concept goes for a Direct Intervention cancelling a modifier or reaction card. David
