Bob the Malkavian goes to torpor, and is then stolen by a Methuselah by means grave robbing. Later, I grab Bob with Malkavian Dementia, and the Methuselah that stole Bob first is ousted before my next untap. What happens to Bob when my untap rolls around? Does his owner get him, do I get him, or is he burned? ********************************************************************* Santiago * Ignorance is curable, e-mail: * but stupidity is terminal. ia...@mail.utexas.edu *

Will have to see what the others think of that, though. Tom Wylie rec.games.trading-cards.* Network Representative for aa...@cats.ucsc.edu Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

[ quoted text not captured ] Isn't that rule actually in the rulebook (It was in Jyhad I think.) As soon as you are ousted from the game you get all your cards back.

I now add: That rule is in the rulebook, but notice that Bob's owner is still in the game; only his most recent controller has been ousted. That's where the contoversy arises, although I was inclined to favor buring poor confused Bob, as Tom suggests. [ quoted text not captured ]

No, because Bob doesn't belong to the stealing Methuselah, but to the original owner. And because the grave robbing card is only a reminder it can easily be returned to the stealer without any problem. I beleave Bob will be burned, because he isn't under the influence of his original owner (due to the GR), and his current owner is ousted. -- ~~~| "Sure I've got a brain, it's a multilayer Kohonen net" ~~~| |oost Hage (ha...@cs.utwente.nl) \_/

You get all the cards you *own* back, yes, and all the other cards you control are burned as well. But the rules don't really cover what happens if something you didn't own in the first place was stolen from you, and you are then ousted. [ quoted text not captured ]
