OK, I met with my 3-person play group last night, and I'm happy to say that
Anson's Flower Power Mega Pool Gain deck is still undefeated, despite
several scares....but I digress....
1. Inverary, Scotland. When a minion equipped with this takes a "minion
phase action" to "move one blood" to the Inverary, does that blood come
from the vamp, Meth pool, or blood bank? Card text is very ambiguous...
2. If I play TGB (thx Patrick) and later I use the first Toreador to burn
that TGB, is that action unblockable due to the TGB? Seems the answer is
yes....
3. Alexandra. Clarification: Her ability to tap or untap any Toreador is
not done as an action and can be done at any time during my minion phase
only, correct?
4. Is there any ruling/errata/clarification I should know about for Aching
Beauty? Has it become unique? Does the cost to block still come from the
Meth's pool?
5. Scenario: Gilbert Duane bleeds. Prey blocks. Gilbert plays Change of
Target. Then Zebulon bleeds (same Meth). Prey blocks again. Gilbert
attempts Mask of a Thousand Faces to take over at +1 stealth. No repeat
action rule violation? In other words, does the no repeat action rule only
mean that a minion cannot initiate the same type of action more than once
each turn, or that he cannot participate in the same type of action at any
stage? I think the scenario above violates the no repeat action rule...
6. I'm still trying to get a solid grip on strikes and how they resolve.
I understand that strikes are chosen and resolved in pairs, but what
exactly does "resolved" mean? The damage is inflicted/prevented? Correct
example?: I'm in combat at long range and my minion has a Grenade. I use
the grenade as my strike, while the opposing minion uses her hands. The
opposing minion only has one blood, but wants to play Nimble Feet for an
add'l strike. She can't unless she somehow prevents the grenade damage
first, right? If she can't prevent it, she goes to torpor and my minion
burns the grenade and loses zero blood, and combat ends, right? Our play
group used to think that all strikes for each round were chosen first
(including add'l strikes), then all damage was resolved (a lot of my
minions got burned that way). Were we right before, or am I right now?
Thanks for all of your continued help and advice....

Not an action; Any time during your turn (card text).

No errata. It is still not unique. The cost is still paid in Meth. pool.

If he cannot initiate the action, he cannot Mask the action (errata on Mask).

The effects are applied then damage applied (if any) is prevented. Then
any remaining (unprevented) damage is "successfully inflicted" and the
victim must burn blood or life as appropriate.

Nice. Did the Tor. Grand Ball work as planned? How did the PAs go?

"blood" is the key word here. Blood can only come from a vampire. Anything
from a Meth. or the bank should be be called "pool".

The answer is yes. Also, I can't take credit for that deck idea. I may have
turned you onto it, but I got the idea from The Lasombra. He has a deck that
uses TGB, but with more PAs in it. I used that idea and made a deck that was
similar, but not so based on PAs. His also uses Tomb of Ramses, which are nice
if you have big vampires (if you have them).

Correct.

No changes. Not unique, and still costs pool rather than blood.

I'm pretty sure that violates the rule. Otherwise you'd see a lot of Majesty
bleed decks where they'd attempt to bleed, get blocked, S:CE and untap, repeat
until not blocked.

Actually it violates card text on Change of Target.
Change of Target
Action modifier
Only usable when this minion is blocked. Untap the acting minion and
cancel the current action and combat. If you do a second action with
this minion this turn, it can't be the same action. The blocker is not
tapped

But the card text says "if you do a second action." When a vamp Masks, is
that vamp "doing" the action, or resuming the action?

You can read my other post for some detail about last night's games...The
TGB was immensely helpful at one point, but not as I had originally planned
it to work. I drew TGB very late or not at all in every game... The PAs
went well (especially KRC and Disputed Territory to take some key
locations), but I never was able to use Voter Captivation like I wanted to.
I'd have a vote in hand, but no VC...I'd wait for a VC, but get tired of
waiting...play the vote....then draw a VC on my discard that turn! It
happened about four times! Oh well.

Anything

I thought so. Of course, my play group thought differently, so last night
we took the "blood" from the "blood" bank.

I've never even seen a Tomb....ever. BTW, I knew you hadn't originally
thought of using TGB, because I've been to numerous deck archives on the
web. I was thanking you more for bringing it to my attention...

Well, this scenario is different from your example, though. In your
example, the minion _initiates_ the action both times, but in my example
with the Mask, the minion resumes where the other minion left off....

Doing. Continuing the action is doing the action.
And (again) a vampire cannot Mask an action that he is not capable
of performing in the first place.

Hrmm... let's see if you can answer your own question.
When you 'resume' peddeling your bike, what are you doing?
When you 'resume' walking, what are you doing?
When a vamp resumes bleeding, what is it doing?

Nah - the bank just has blood counters. These counters can be called "blood"
or "pool" or simply "blood counters", depending on what they are used for.
Beyond that, card text sometimes uses "pool" for "blood" and vice-versa.
Ex:
Ancient Influence: "pool from the blood bank"
Arcane Library: "blood from the blood bank"
Powerbase: New York: "blood counters from the blood bank"
Grand Temple of Set: "blood from your pool"
Javier Montoya: "burns 1 less pool when rescuing"

Ah, I see...it's time to get snotty....
When you 'resume' peddling a bicycle after someone else gave you a push
from a dead stop, who put the bike in motion?
When you 'resume' walking after someone carried you halfway up a hill, who
started walking up the hill?
When a vamp 'resumes' bleeding after another vamp announced and initially
tapped to perform the bleed, who took an action to bleed?
I don't think it's as clear cut as you make it sound, a0, although LSJ has
given me the answer I suspected was correct.

The best way to think about Mask of 1000 Faces that will make things
easier is to remember that the second vampire was the one attempting the
action the whole time. Mask of 1000 Faces just allowed the second
vampire to make it appear as if the first vampire was attempting it.
In the RPG, Mask of 1000 Faces is the Obfuscate ability that allows you
to make yourself appear to be someone else when others look at you.

Doesn't matter, you are pedding are you not?

Again, doesn't matter. What is the vamp then doing? Bleeding, no?

Which was completely in line with what I am saying.
