So the action resumes as if unblocked, I understand that. But if the blocking minion who I entered combat with is now tapped (as a result of their first block) they would have to play a Wake (or similar untap card) to be able to block me right? Or is the wording continue as if the action had been unblocked mean that the once tapped blocking minion is untapped? If so this greatly reduces the effectiveness of Form of Mist, and I would much rather use Earth Meld and start my action all over again and keep the blocking minion tapped.

Form of Mist continues the action, or restarts the resolution of the action (in the case of the action initiating combat - Bum's Rush, etc.) All Action Modifiers and Reaction Cards are still in effect. To block, a minion must be untapped (or under the influence of WwEF). The initial blocker is not returned to his original (un)tapped status by FoM. The original blocker retains all intercept bonuses originally applied to the blocking attempt, but may be unable to put them to use unless he: 1. finds a way to untap 2. plays a WwEF or 3. had played a WwEF for the initial block (which is still in effect since it is a reaction card). -- L. Ending combat doesn't tap or untap anyone, unless the card says otherwise. [ quoted text not captured ]
