Hi LSJ,
You recently made a ruling that Leather Jacket's "damage from a strike"
clause was limited to damage inflicted by the opposing minion. This
means that Leather Jacket can't be used to prevent the Burst's damage to
the minion that played the card. You said that the damage to the minion
who played the Burst was considered "side-effect" damage. From there
you agreed that Rev. Blackwood's +1 damage to Thaum strikes only added
+1 to the damage that would affect the opposing minion and specifically
didn't add +1 to the "side-effect" damage.
I could be blind but I wasn't able to track down any ruling from your
monthly summaries that stated this. Is the ruling present in your
summaries? Is there, or can you make a general ruling that covers this
whole damage from a strike vs. side-effect damage issue?
