I haven't seen anything official on the net, nor any announcement in a Duelist, but from some of the talk on this newsgroup it seems that there is no longer a restricted list. True? Is there a banned list? If yes, then all I can say is that I haven't heard or seen any type of announcement. Question: Do retainers like Wolf Companion, Zombie, and Murder of Crows do their damage as part of the vampire's strike damage? In other words, there is only one strike and one strike resolution? Can this damage be prevented by just playing one Skin of Steel? If said vampire Blurs, then the retainers would do more damage or not?

Since the latest DCI rules went into effect (Oct. 1996), there has been no restricted list. The Banned list consistst of (1) All Ante cards, (2) All Paralyze cards, and (3) the Monocle of Clarity. This is up on WotC's official web site: www.wizards.com/DCI > Question: Do retainers like Wolf Companion, Zombie, and Murder of Crows do > their damage as part of the vampire's strike damage? No. > In other words, there is > only one strike and one strike resolution? Yes. (Not accounting for any additional strikes). Damage from retainers is applied during this single strike resolution, but is not part of the strike. > Can this damage be prevented by > just playing one Skin of Steel? No. Skin of Steel only prevents damage from strikes. > If said vampire Blurs, then the retainers > would do more damage or not? No. Retainers only deal damage during the first strike resolution. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
