The Herald can play cards that require basic presence as a vampire of capacity....bla...bla...bla... So, if he bleeds with Legal Manipulations, is he considered a vampire for the duration of the action, thus can be blocked by a vampire "wearing" Memories of Mortality, or not ? i'd say not, because i believe what is meant by card text, is that he is treated as a vampire of x capacity, for purposes of playing the card e.g. blood cost, e.t.c. So, he is treated as a vampire for purposes of playing the card, but is treated as an ally for the purposes of performing the action (block attempts, e.t.c.), right ? i understand what "...may play cards like a vampire of capacity x" means. it means for example that if a minion with this text can play e.g. basic tha as a vampire, then if he plays burst of sunlight he will take the 1 aggra damage, because he plays the card as a vampire. But by playing a combat card he is treated as a vampire for a moment only, what confuses me is what happens when an ally with such a text plays an action card as a vampire, as the action has a duration and is not an instantaneous effect.

All other effects treat him as the ally he is. > vampire "wearing" Memories of Mortality, or not ? Not "for the moment", but "for that card". See http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#sec1_6_3 -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
