I have 7 and 5 capacity vampires and another methuselah has 6 and 4 cap guys. the 7 cap plays balt purge, then the 5 cap plays balt purge. on my untap, can the other methuselah send his 4 cap to torpor for the 7 cap's balt purge, and spare his 6 cap since it is older than the vampire that played the other balt purge, or do the balt purges happen at the same time? would it change things if the 5 cap played balt purge first? thanks, leviathan

You can order the effects. So you can chose to have the 5 cap trigger first, sending the 4 cap to torpor, and then trigger the 7 cap and force the 6 cap to go to torpor too. > would it change things if the 5 cap played balt purge first? No. Both BPs trigger during the same phase (untap phase), and you can always order them however you want. Flux

Can you use petty excuses like "This guy is the prince of Paris ! there's no way he could have been in baltimore at that time ! he hates travel anyway " to avoid sending your vampire to torpor ?

Depends. Are you talking about Villlon or Stephane Lavrut ? Are you able to convince anybody into believing any stupid thing you tell them ? Is the Prince of Paris a Tzimisce, which would account for his hating travels ? Orpheus, working on a "Lucita and Marcus on a Honeysun in Baltimore" deck now that I have 6 of the fuckers (hard to balance, though...).
