Correct. Note: there's a difference between a non-bleeding ally (Hell Hound, for example) and an ally with a bleed of zero (Garou). A Garou, even with no equipment, is free to take a bleed action (and will bleed for zero, by default). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Just as a seperate ally-related question, can allies that have basic disciplines (Satyr Court Changeling and Akhenaten (the Mummy) from Ancient Hearts) boost their disciplines with dicipline master cards? (these may seem dumb questions, but I am going somewhere - just checking that my assumptions are watertight) Thanks again DJH [ quoted text not captured ]

No. They do not actually *have* the disciplines - they can merely play cards as if they did. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "But I don't have the right to be with you tonight, so please leave me alone with no saviour in sight. Correct. An ally can hold it, but would get no use from it. > Just as a seperate ally-related question, can allies that have basic > disciplines (Satyr Court Changeling and Akhenaten (the Mummy) from > Ancient Hearts) boost their disciplines with dicipline master cards? No, by card text on the Master Discipline card. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I'm guessing that technically, an ally can equip with a loequipment card. The only problem is that all current loequipment cards (including Inveray) require a blood cost, and that this is what prohibits the ally from using this. Is this right? Also, does the ruling regarding Beast Leatherface of Detroit relate to the Hell Hound? Is the Hell Hound prohibited from having retainers or equipment (though I have no idea how he could get them)? Also, just to double double check, so Talaq the Immortal could indeed recruit Tasha Morgan right? And an Outcast Mage could hire Jackie Therman? Thanks! Halcyan 2

Could Shadow Court Satyr play a Taste of Vitae (special effect from hand when recruiting) to gain life in combat even though it is not a Vampire? Special ability gives the use of a combat card as if played from hand once in a combat, and gaining blood is gaining life. Could Talaq play combat cards that do not require disciplines as a vampire of capacity 3? Could it Clan Impersonate? -- When walking, walk. Michael F. Also, Inveraray explicitly provides its +bleed to vampires, not allies. So even if Inveray with 3 counters on it (making it +3 bleed) was on a vampire, and you then moved it using Kine Dominance, Disputed Location or Heidleburg Castle onto say a renagade Garou; the Inveraray Castle would then lose its bleed bonus? That seems a little counter-intuitive. [ quoted text not captured ]

That seems a little counter-intuitive. Go by card text, not intuition. Inveraray has no bleed bonus - the vampire with it has a bleed bonus, by explicit card text. (The Castle cannot be used to move locquipment, nor can it be used to move anything to or from an ally, BTW.) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. No, since Taste only benefits "this vampire". [LSJ 28-JAN-2000] http://www.deja.com/getdoc.xp?AN=578739623 > Could Talaq play combat cards that do not require disciplines as a > vampire of capacity 3? Could it Clan Impersonate? No, for the same reason. Non-vampires cannot play cards "as a vampire" except as noted on card text. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
