Now here's a question concerning that card that is at the top of everyone's Top 10 Most Powerful Cards list -- Beyond Reproach! Beyond Reproach [AH] Cardtype: Political Action Political Card - Worth 1 Vote. Called by any prince at +1 stealth. If this <referendum> is successful, put this card in play. primogen cannot attempt political actions and <get one less> vote during political actions. This card may be burned by a <referendum> called by any vampire as a +1 stealth <political> action. Free States Rant [FN] Cardtype: Political Action Political Card - Worth 1 Vote. Called by any Independent vampire at +1 stealth. Allocate X points among one or more ready <vampires>, where X is half the capacity of the acting vampire (rounded up). No more than 3 points can be allocated to a single vampire. Successful referendum means each vampire burns 1 blood for each point assigned. In this referendum, titles are worth 1 less vote each (even in the prisci sub-referendum), and burning the Edge for a vote is worth an additional vote. Does this mean that if Free States Rant was called when a Beyond Reproach was in play, Primogen would actually get negative votes (just like negative strength. -1 strength doesn't actually heal your opponent but it does require more modifiers to bring it back to positive territory)? So say a Free States Rant is called and Primogen Masika plays a Dread Gaze would he only gain 3 votes (1 Primogen - 1 FSR + 4 Dread Gaze - 1 BR = 3?) while non-titled Gideon would get 4 votes from a Dread Gaze? Similarly, CI'ed Primogen Genevieve would get 0 votes during an FSR? (Since FSR takes away the titled vote and BR takes care of her special)? And same thing with CI'ed Primogen Stefano Giovanni who wants to try to burn a blood to gain a vote? Yeah, it's really corner-case (#1. People actually playing with Beyond Reproach, #2. Beyond Reproach in play, and #3. Someone calling FSR) but it seems silly if Beyond Reproach can cause a Primogen to have the equivalent of negative votes... Halcyan 2

Probably as silly as disarm giving someone negative strength. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Hrm hrm... >>Yeah, it's really corner-case (#1. People actually playing with Beyond >>Reproach, #2. Beyond Reproach in play, and #3. Someone calling FSR) but it >>seems silly if Beyond Reproach can cause a Primogen to have the equivalent of >>negative votes... >> > > Probably as silly as disarm giving someone negative strength. > So does this mean that the opposing minion actually gains lives when in combat with a minion that has disarm on him (if his strength is less then 0)? Hrm.. uhh.. btw don't answer that. Archibald Zimonyi Malkavian Prince of Gothenburg
