I was wondering what the advantage of letting a vampire getting itself ou of torpor is. It seems to me letting another vampire get a vampire out of torpor is much safer, since it doesn't cost two blood if it fails. JAAP

[ quoted text not captured ] It only costs two blood (blocked self-rescue, that is) in the old Jyhad rules. The new rules make it so that no costs are paid for any blocked action, including self-rescue. (Tereza's special ability a card-text-based exception, of course). -- ----- L. Depends on who you want tapped after the action. A simple answer. If the vampire leaving topor has stealth enough he doesn't have to worry. Or perhaps if the vampire is, say, Dimple and gets stopped... who really cares. Who's going to diablarize Dimple if it means a bloodhunt on a more valuable vampire.

Or, say all your controlled vamps are in torpor, but some have enough blood to rescue themselves (because they were blasted by aggro or you've recharged them with a blood doll after some *&#$%@! Brujah hit them for an unblelievable amount of damage). ********************************************************************* Santiago * "I don't want to achieve immortality through e-mail: * my work - I want to achieve it by not ia...@mail.utexas.edu * dying." - Woody Allen

Also risking bringing out a vampire is in many cases asking for a diablorie - but there are advantages to bringing yourself out, namely it doesn't tie up the ready vampire with an action where he/she could be doing something else beneficial. Blood can be taken from either when bringing someone else out so I would though have to agree with you that there is little real point in bringing yourself out if you can help it!
