My impression has always been that the contesting cost has to be paid before I can yield the contested card in question. How does this work again? Jaysen

[ quoted text not captured ] During your untap, you either contest (by paying the cost to contest) or yield (by not paying the cost to contest) each card/title another Methuselah/vampire is contesting with you (or that you are contesting with yourself).
