Folks: From Ethan Burrow's most excellent web site (3 cheers!!), I have gleaned the following information on a new Sabbat War card: Vagabond Mystic Unique ally with 2 life, 0 strength, 0 bleed. Tap Vagabond Mystic to move 1 life counter from the blood bank to an ally you control if that ally has fewer life than his or her starting amount. The Vagabond Mystic cannot block vampires. There is no mention of any sort of preprequisite clan, etc. for this ally. There is also no mention of any cost for this ally. Can this be true?? A free ally available to anyone?? Is this too good to be true?? I also presume that the Mystic does not require an *action* to add a life. He simply adds a life by tapping. Yeow!!! Madman (who is inordinately fond of allies, particularly Nephandus) Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

The card text given above is absolutely correct and complete: No clan required, no cost in pool or blood. Enjoy :-) -- Hardy Range "Gib mir wieder etwas Schönes, zieh mich aus dem Meer." One more ally-related question: I understand that an ally can recruit another ally if the first ally meets all requirements. For example, could Nephandus recruit Talaq the Immortal? Could Talaq recruit the Vagabond Mystic? I believe the answer is "yes". Madman [ quoted text not captured ]

I particularly look forward to build decks with VM around: War Ghoul, Kherebutu, Order of Hermes Cabal and Dauntain Black Magician :) [ quoted text not captured ]

Allies can be recruited by anyone just, in the majority of cases, clan requirements get in the way. Where no clan is required (or other vampiric ability), allies can do it too. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "And all the while I'm thinking things that I can never share with him.
