Sorry if this has been answered before. For how long does the effect of MRC last? If I calla vote and am unsuccessful can I keep calling till I succeed and the MRC's effect will then kick in? Will MRC be "active" for the rest of the game or does the vote have to be called the same round as MRC is played? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

One of the best uses for Malkavian Rider Clause is to set yourself up for a Dramatic Upheaval or Kindred Restructure when someone across the table is about to fold. Jump in as their predator with your unbeatable vote, then kill them for the easy victory point. http://www.white-wolf.com/VTES/Cardlist_M.html#Malkavian_Rider_Clause Malkavian Rider Clause [AH] Cardtype: Reaction Clan: Malkavian Cost: 1 blood Only usable during a <referendum> before voting occurs. LSJ (or anyone who knows for sure) - Can the next referendum you call be a bloodhunt vote? Charming Lobby has a ruling (TOM 19950921) that a bloodhunt vote "does not qualify" (presumably for the second, auto-passing vote, since it seems obvious that you couldn't call a bloodhunt with the first vote), but I'm not sure whether that should be carried over to the Malkavian Rider Clause as a "general rule" that bloodhunt referenda can't be affected by cards played by minions. (or something like that.) Also, I seem to remember reading not too long ago that pre- Sabbat War) cards that use the phrase "during a political action" are not usable during a bloodhunt referendum - because it's not an action - but the piece in the Sabbat War rulebook that says that most cards that use the "during a political action" phrase mean "during a referendum", which would suggest that they *might* be usable. As examples, Power Structure lets you tap it to gain votes "during a political action", but Ventrue Headquarters just says to tap it to gain votes. Does this mean that Power Structure can't be used during a bloodhunt referendum, but Ventrue Headquarters can? Or am I just mis- remembering a bunch of things? Thanks, Josh memory like a steel sieve [ quoted text not captured ]
