If you are trying to set up a newsgroup account in Thunderbird, whats is the nntp address for this group? Sorry, kinda tech illiterate...

If you're with GreatISP and your email with that account is something like m...@GreatISP.com, then the newserver might be something like news.GreatISP.com or nntp.GreatISP.com Check with your ISP for details.
