Just trying to get my head around the new rules. So, I put 4 of my pool counters on my uncontrolled Jennifer. At the end of my influence phase, she enters play with the 4 pool counters representing 4 life, and I search through my library (or hand or ash heap), find a Second Sight, and put it on her. During my next untap phase, I've got another Second Sight in hand, so I also put it on Jennifer. During my minion phase, she takes a +1 stealth action (reduced to 0 stealth by her card text) to get a Project card. She burns a Second Sight upon announcement to give monsters -1 intercept for this action. No one blocks, and so she untaps. Next, she announces a bleed action at -1 stealth and +1 bleed (from her card text), tapping the Project and burning the other one of her Second Sights to pay for it, to make it unblockable by vamps < 7 and monster allies < 4. My prey loses 2 pool. I have a tapped Jennifer, with a tapped Project on her. Is this correct? -- salem http://users.tpg.com.au/adsltqna/vtes/ (replace 'hotmail' with 'yahoo' to email)

Or any other Conviction card, yes. > During my next untap phase, I've got another Second Sight in hand, so I > also put it on Jennifer. Sure. > During my minion phase, she takes a +1 stealth action (reduced to 0 > stealth by her card text) to get a Project card. I don't think she meets the requirements of that card, but we'll assume for the rest of the post that she did. > She burns a Second > Sight upon announcement to give monsters -1 intercept for this action. > No one blocks, and so she untaps. Pretty sure that's right. > My prey loses 2 pool. Assuming he doesn't have a minion who can block or deflect, yes. > I have a tapped Jennifer, with a tapped Project on her. > > Is this correct? Except for the part about meeting the requirements, I think it is. John

Well, 'so far' there aren't any other ones. :) >> During my minion phase, she takes a +1 stealth action (reduced to 0 >> stealth by her card text) to get a Project card. > > I don't think she meets the requirements of that card, but we'll assume > for the rest of the post that she did. Gak. I was only quickly looking, and thought the cross with loopy bit was the same as the square with loopy bits. I really do hope they're clearer in live print! :) >> Is this correct? > > Except for the part about meeting the requirements, I think it is. cool. thanks. [ quoted text not captured ]

If I didn't had the 2nd Second (yiikes) Sight at hand, but I had one copy in the ash heap, I could get it to put on Jennifer during my next untap phase. Right? So when an Imbued enters play, I can get one Conviction card on it from wherever I want (library, hand, ash heap). And during my untap, I can place another from my hand and ash heap. So we don't need to choke the deck with these Convictions just to reliably draw them. Sorry if it seems obvious, but the wording of the rule confused some players I know (english as second language is always a problem in here). Fabio "Sooner" Macedo
