Here's a couple of nifty things for ally decks: Shadow Court Satyr(changeling): give him an earth meld/majesty, and he'll always strike: combat ends. give him a thrown sewer lid and IR goggles and he'll always manouver to long and hit for 3R. give him a theft of vitae and he'll steal 1 blood, which gets him a life. give him a burst of sunlight, it does 1R aggravated damage to all _vampires_ in combat(effectively turning him into a cheaper order of hermes cabal). Talaq, the Immortal: Can use theft of vitae or burst of sunlight, and has a free manouver. Other weird combos: Mind of a child + disguised flamethrower rushing. Malkavian Madness Network + homonculus + fun actions, examples below: accounting/govern, bring out vampires fast. the embrace, bring out lots of new small vampires fast. bleed your prey every turn. vote every turn. fifth tradition when the vamp is running low on blood. example of above combo: Malkavian Madness Network in play, Greger Anderssen recruits a homonculus. Greger untaps in his preys turn, and plays superior pulse of the canaille. Greger untaps in his grandpreys turn, and bleeds his prey. Greger untaps in the next methusela's turn, and fifth traditions himself. Greger continues to untap and bleed every turn, or fifth when he's running low on blood. There's more weird combos out there... have fun. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Also, MN works well with 2nd tradition - Obedience + First tradition.: untap + block AND stay untapped to act, you don't really need your turn. Reversal of fortune / Dramatic upheaval / kindred restructure: you decide who will get extra turns and who won't. In malk with protean example: include Bum's rush, wolf claws and Rotschreck: a malk OoT Rush deck. Other neat combos (difficult to pull off): Multiple Masquerade Enforcements + Leandro + Banishment Terror Frenzy(inf) + Aid from Bats + Spawning Pool ..........

Seems unrelated to the disg flamethrower rush to me. A lure into combat of course, but you could always bleed and accept the block instead if combats what you want (unless your preys a deflector of course). >Malkavian Madness Network + homonculus + fun actions, Hello Zebulon! > >There's more weird combos out there... have fun. > >___ Cheers! Right. So they can't play Majesty or any other Strike Combat Ends, or any form of damage prevention during the combat. > Seems unrelated to the disg flamethrower rush to > me. Then you didn't look hard enough. > A lure into combat of course, but you could always bleed and > accept the block instead if combats what you want (unless your preys a > deflector of course). You're playing with Malks/!Malks, only an intercept deck is going to attempt to block and allow you to cycle the stealth they think you will have.

My absolute favourite combo with Malks is Time Auction Malkavian Dementia Sell your malk, then take him back for long enough to finish the deed. I love it. Disguised Bombs and Basil are fun, too. BTW why the heck would anyone use Concealed weapons?

Of course, we've always used more equipment than the average metagame, but is that really a bad thing? Better that than to leave the equipment to rot in te cellar... IMVuHO Of course, now we've had to obey the official rules as we've started to play official yournaments, but in recreational games, everyone can conceal! /Henke

Dark Howler

My fav combo is bums rush Arm's of the Abyss (at superior) Entombment Decapatate no one expects the decap hehehe

[ quoted text not captured ] That's four cards played as well as four blood that you can not get back with Taste of Vitae. Since your vampire already has superior Potence, try this instead: Arms of the Abyss [major strike followed by Taste of Vitae if blood is low] Disarm Decapitate (-2 blood) This assumes the same POT/OBT combo but I think it's more economical.

It's more fun and you have a possibility of gaining a skill card and extra blood, plus Ritual of the BR adds even more blood. The problem is to avoid getitng burned in the blood hunt. For this purpose Decapitate is nice for clans who doesn't have neither vote lock nor means to cancel blood hunts etc. I don't like to rely on table dealing when I make an Amaranth deck. However with Absolution of the Diabolist, Gangrel Conspiracy, Reform Body, disposable weenies, soul Gem of Etrius or vote lock there's pretty many clans who can make viable amaranth decks.

Just to doublecheck, but will Reform Body really save you from a bloodhunt? I'm assuming that the referendum is called outside of combat? And since no reaction cards can be played during the referendum, does this mean Reform Body as a Reaction cannot be played by the diablerist? Or is the burning part after the referendum so you can Reform. I looked through the rulebook but couldn't find anything more specific about it. Thanks! Halcyan 2

A Blood Hunt is called after combat and is not an action therefore Reform Body cannot be played.[Rulebook 6.5.6]

-- "Wes" <gh...@mnsi.net> wrote in message news:9d6pv...@enews2.newsguy.com... [ quoted text not captured ] Yes but the possibility of IG is good since Entombment wouldn't work then. One thing that makes the Entombment combo a lil bit better is the possibility of the Path of Night. Buning a vampire for 3 blood is quite acceptable.

The bloodhunt is not combat. Combat cards cannot be played during a bloodhunt. The bloodhunt is not an action.
