Further to our demo session today they following questions need to be clarified (please) ? 1) Vote Pushing - can the caller of the vote play another vote card from their hand to 'push' the vote ? I said no but would check with you guys as I thought the caller can't push it but other players CAN play a single vote card to gain one vote. 2) Please clarify what happens with 'steal blood' , especially when it comes to first strike. example 1 - player A plays first strike (muddles vamp hunter), player b plays steal blood. I ruled that player a's strike happen first so players b strike didn't happen at all. Was that right? 3) Mummies - when blocked, does the card go to the ash heap - ie relating to it being shuffled back into your library if sent to the ash heap - I said yes if its blocked, no if its discarded from hand ? was that right? 4) Majesty - does this card now cost 1 blood at inferior aswell ? I couldn't find details in the errata sheets? 5) derange (malk anti card) - player a plays derange on player b, player b then plays it on player c. (A) is that legal (i said yes) (B) is the effect moved to player b (i said yes) (C) are the restrictions the same ie younger vamp ? (i said yes) Was all that right? I just want to make sure I did the right thing. any way, many thanks in advance Anam

If a vote card was used to call a vote, that card counts as the one vote that the methuselah can "push". Cannot discard another vote card for a second vote. If the vote is called from a card in play, like to burn the anarch revolt, as the calling methuselah has not played a vote card, they may discard 1 card to "push" the vote. > 2) Please clarify what happens with 'steal blood' , especially when it > comes to first strike. > > example 1 - player A plays first strike (muddles vamp hunter), player > b plays steal blood. I ruled that player a's strike happen first so > players b strike didn't happen at all. Was that right? Depends. First strike is resolved prior to any other strikes other than combat ends (and is avoided by dodges). So the muddled vampire strikes for 4 damage (assuming no lucky blow, etc). If the vampire (B) is not going to be sent to torpor by this strike, their strike will then resolve, the theft will then remove the muddled vampire's one life. If B is going to torpor from the first strike then they do not get a strike. > 3) Mummies - when blocked, does the card go to the ash heap - ie > relating to it being shuffled back into your library if sent to the > ash heap - I said yes if its blocked, no if its discarded from hand ? > was that right? I assume we are talking about "if {mummy} is burned, shuffle him into his owner's library." I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. The mummy is in play, takes an action, and is blocked? > 4) Majesty - does this card now cost 1 blood at inferior as well ? I > couldn't find details in the errata sheets? Yes. Cost for the card is now 1 (inferior and superior). However the superior no longer requires a vampire to burn 1 blood to untap. > 5) derange (malk anti card) - player a plays derange on player b, > player b then plays it on player c. I'll let someone with more experience with derange answer this one. -JTP

IANLSJ, but here are some answers anyway: > 1) Vote Pushing - can the caller of the vote play another vote card > from their hand to 'push' the vote ? I said no but would check with > you guys as I thought the caller can't push it but other players CAN > play a single vote card to gain one vote. Right. OK, assuming no First Strike: Steal blood effects will resolve at the same time as normal strikes. Damage, however, will only be healed (ie, burn blood) at the end of the strike's resolution, so stealing blood will happen before damage is healed. Now, with First Strike: First Strike is a 'new' strike resolution, that happens before the normal strike resolution. That means that all the effects of the First Strike (including burning blood to heal damage) will happen before the normal strike can be applied. If that means that any minion goes to torpor, combat ends immediatelly, and any further strikes are 'lost'. So, your example was correct, assuming player b's minion goes to torpor from the Hunter's strike. If not, his strike would still resolve. > 3) Mummies - when blocked, does the card go to the ash heap - ie > relating to it being shuffled back into your library if sent to the > ash heap - I said yes if its blocked, no if its discarded from hand ? > was that right? I'll assume you mean 'when the recruting action is blocked'. He goes to the ash heap, since his his own text is not in effect. It only kicks in when the mummy enters play, at the end of the recruitment action. > 4) Majesty - does this card now cost 1 blood at inferior aswell ? I > couldn't find details in the errata sheets? Yes, Majesty now (since CE) costs 1 blood. > 5) derange (malk anti card) - player a plays derange on player b, > player b then plays it on player c. Hm, don't have the cardtext here with me and WW's site seems to be down so I can't confirm, but I think that is right. > I just want to make sure I did the right thing. > > any way, many thanks in advance > > Anam Flux

Each Methuselah (including the one who called the referendum) can use no more than one Political Action card to gain a vote. > > 2) Please clarify what happens with 'steal blood' , especially when it > > comes to first strike. > > > > example 1 - player A plays first strike (muddles vamp hunter), player > > b plays steal blood. It is printed with 1 blood cost in the CE, so the change is not errata. The change is listed in the card text migration list, though. > > 5) derange (malk anti card) - player a plays derange on player b, > > player b then plays it on player c. The card's effect applies to the vampire it is on. C. No. The restrictions are as given in card text. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] Replacement is a function of card play. It would be silly to replace the card, wait until the action resolved, and then, if it was successful, to try to unreplace the card drawn to replace the Bum's Rush. [ quoted text not captured ]

When the card is moved to a new vampire, it then becomes malk as opposed to whatever the vamp was that took the action to move the card.... >C. No. The restrictions are as given in card text. ok - i didn't have the card text in front of me - what i meant was 'when player B try to move the card from his vamp to another meth's vamp does he have the same restrictions ie capacity etc.... as usual you come up trumps :) thanks anam
