Allies in torpor can still take actions... can't they?

Um... look at the online rule book, under types of actions (6.1) it says you need a ready minion to perform them... Now look under 'torpor' (6.5) it says a vampire in torpor is controlled but not ready... Now, as it says nothing about an ally in torpor, I can assume that the ally is still ready. Hence, allies can take actions from torpor (bleed, enter combat via haven, etc...), as torpor only prevents vampires from taking actions, and not allies. End of arguement. ~SV Some allies just got better! :)

No, you cannot. The controlled region is divided into two distinct areas: the ready region and the torpor region. [2.3] "Ready" means "in the ready region". > Hence, allies can take actions from torpor (bleed, enter combat via > haven, etc...), as torpor only prevents vampires from taking actions, > and not allies. > > End of arguement. I hope so. Spurious arguments are distracting and can confuse newbies. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I know this was a gigantic troll, but it is logically consistant. Comments Welcome. Norman S. Brown, Jr. XZealot Archon of the Swamp

[ quoted text not captured ] Barring section 2.3 it would be correct too (unless I missed another spot)... And I refute it being a troll! I wanted a response, because I thought it was logically concise (hadn't thought to check section 2.3), and wanted to know where the falacy in my arguement was. ~SV Who needs to stop reading logic text books...

Is that defined in the rule book? :) Oops! Looking, I can now see that it can be implied from the diagram on the next page in the final nights rule book, pg 18... my bad. > > Hence, allies can take actions from torpor (bleed, enter combat via > > haven, etc...), as torpor only prevents vampires from taking actions, > > and not allies. > > > > End of arguement. > > I hope so. > Spurious arguments are distracting and can confuse newbies. I didn't mean to confuse newbies... goodness no! Should I label my more confusing posts Not For Newbies (NFN) from now on? :) ~SV PS You're a good man LSJ, sorry to give you such crap like this.
