Technically you never have to use the manuver if a weapon provides one as an option. It just doesn't make sense though to stay at close range when you can hit for long and often your opponent's vampire can't(though I can think of a few specific cases against this but overall that's the reasoning). Yep. I think the only card that can actually stop this is Faceless Night, since that taps you even if the block is unsuccessful and will therefore leave you tapped and unable to play Reaction cards. =) >Can i use the maneuver provided with a gun on the second round ? even if i >shoot with the gun during the first round ? >For example : I play Flash with sup CEL to take a maneuver then 1 shoot with >my .44 then i take the press provided by flash, 2nd round : i take the >maneuver from my .44 and shoot again at long range ... is it possible ? Faceless Night taps the would-be blocker when his controller declares that she is not blocking (or when another block is successful). The would-be blocker can still play reaction cards until that time (like Enhanced Senses or Telepathic Counter). > >Can i use the maneuver provided with a gun on the second round ? even if i > >shoot with the gun during the first round ? > >For example : I play Flash with sup CEL to take a maneuver then 1 shoot with > >my .44 then i take the press provided by flash, 2nd round : i take the > >maneuver from my .44 and shoot again at long range ... is it possible ? > > Yep. Hm, I think I phrased it improperly, because that's what I meant. =) >The would-be blocker can still play reaction cards until that time >(like Enhanced Senses or Telepathic Counter). Yep, but the blocker can't fail to block and THEN play a bleed reducer, correct? the blocker needs to play all the reaction cards before admitting that the block is actually unsuccessful -- meaning that all Faceless Night really does is ensure that you can't wait for your predator to bump the bleed before deciding whether to Tel. Counter it or Tel. Misdirection it, you have to pick right away. =) [ quoted text not captured ]
