It is a reaction card, right ? So, I get Rushed, I intercept and Smasher, the Bone-breaking Rusher shuts his mlouth and goes back to bed. What if I don't intercept, just let the rush action continue : can I still react with Obedience ? -- Yours, Orpheus, Prince of Marseille http://no.exit.free.fr (onlive novel) http://cypheranima.free.fr (goth band) news://news.zoo-logique.org/VTES-francophone audio...@yahoogroups.com

Yes and yes. Obedience is usable if you block an action and are entering combat *or* whether you're just getting attacked. (Assuming in both cases that you can play Reaction cards. Need to be untapped or have played Wake/FA). Halcyan 2

But the blocking minion is tapped, so cannot play reaction cards (like Obedience) unless some other effect (like Wake) allows it. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. (in part) 'Only usable at the end of a combat when both combatants are still ready. Enter combat with the opposing minion. This is a new combat.' Obedience 'Only usable when this reacting vampire is about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire. [dom] This vampire is not tapped and combat does not occur; untap the acting vampire. The acting vampire is blocked and cannot attempt the same action this turn. [DOM] As above, but do not untap the acting vampire. It's probably a close call, but I don't see why not... Marty P.S. Hopefully I'll get to play you next time Sten :)

Does the untap happen before Psyche restarts combat? I would guess it would have to, since previous rulings have stressed that a card's effects happen all together and are never split by other effects. However, it has also been ruled that other effects on a combat ends strike happen after combat. Help?

Quite right. If the Majestic minion chooses to burn a blood to untap, that would suffice. Sorry for the oversight. [ quoted text not captured ]
