Will an already played action modifier (requiring dom, pre, dem or chi) be canceled by attempting to block with a vampire with blessing of chaos? If not, does the following line in the rulebook apply to blocking as well as playing reactions? "..Action modifiers and reaction cards can be played at any time during an action (unless otherwise noted on card text), with the acting Methusalah getting the opportunity to play first.." (resulting in the acting minion getting to play 1 action card before i can attempt to block) Or is there an amount of time in which the acting minion can play action modifiers before the minion with the blessing can attempt to block? Or is it just a discussion about 'i said i attempted to block before your card hit the table' just wondering, (my guess is no, no, yes, no) PS (on the following ruling which was made when questions arose with seeds of corruption) "Special ability" includes all non-term (Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, Vulnerability) "text" . [snip] [LSJ 19970801 LSJ 20011211] [1] [2] "text", most probably, means text on the minion/vampire card and not any ability provided specifically to that vampire by a card on that vampire or a card in play. (if otherwise, the vampire with the seeds of corruptions would be prevented from taking the actions to remove the seeds) maybe, just for clarity, if it is the case, add that? thanks in advance, -D

I already ask the question to LSJ myself ;) http://minilien.com/?nVE6ufukQV The acting vampire has the opportunity to play his bunch of action modifier before letting you block. Eg : "I bleed you with Ozmo and play conditioning on top of that. Do you block ? " He will just lose the surprise effect. Some other cards like "Bonding" or "mirror image" are completely hosed though. reyda

yeah i read some former questions about the subject (after posting, doh!) and its all pretty clear, and how i guessed it would be :) (oh and a typo: its '..minion getting to play an action "modifier" card..)

Yes. > (resulting in the acting minion getting to play 1 action card before i > can attempt to block) The acting minion gets to play X cards before you can attempt to block, where X is as many as he likes. > Or is there an amount of time in which the acting minion can play > action modifiers before the minion with the blessing can attempt to > block? This is the same as the previous. > Or is it just a discussion about 'i said i attempted to block before > your card hit the table' No. There are no "slap" resolutions. > just wondering, (my guess is no, no, yes, no) > > PS > (on the following ruling which was made when questions arose with > seeds of corruption) > > "Special ability" includes all non-term (Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or > not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, > Vulnerability) "text" .
