Greets, A few questions that came up in a game: Duplicate actions. Is the act of calling a vote (Political Action) considered a duplicate action if different PA cards are played by the same minion? I think it is; PAs are actions, and doing multiple PAs in a single turn is duplicating the action called Political Action. However, there was some discussion re. PA card text, and the argument was that the PA card details couldn't be duplicated on the same round, but multiple PAs could be played by the same vamp. Furthermore, in combat, I was under the impression that duplicate combat cards CAN be played. For example, I play a Sup Blur, and get 2 additional strikes. Strike 1, I play a Dodge; Strike 2, I play Undead Strength; Strike 3, I play ANOTHER Undead Strength. Is this legal? Laptops. If a minion bleeds me and she has a laptop, does the minion have to declare that they are using the laptop against me to get the +1 bleed, or is all bleeds considered to be at +1 regardless? Furthermore, if the minion bleeds me with the laptop (2 bleed), and I deflect it, can the Meth I deflect to attempt to parlay with the bleeder to NOT use the laptop, only doing a bleed of 1 to her? Or is the minion commited to using the laptop since they used it originally on the deflecting Meth?

Yes, it is a duplicate/repeat action. There are a few basic types of actions, including bleed, vote, equip, recruit retainer, hunt, etc. that fall under NRA. As in, if you hunt, at 1 blood, get blocked, Majesty & untap, have 0 blood, you now must hunt, but cannot under NRA. (I think I got that right...) > Furthermore, in combat, I was under the impression that duplicate combat > cards CAN be played. For example, I play a Sup Blur, and get 2 additional > strikes. Strike 1, I play a Dodge; Strike 2, I play Undead Strength; Strike > 3, I play ANOTHER Undead Strength. Is this legal? This is correct. Unless card text says otherwise (and I can't think of anything that does), there is no restriction on playing the same card more than once in a combat (when legal...you can't play two strikes if you don't have additional strikes to use them). Note that in certain instances (Torn Signpost), it won't help you any to play more than one, but you can if you want to. > Laptops. If you're playing with the V:EKN Tournament Rules' "No Repeat Actions" special Floor Rule, then, as specified in the text of that rule, "Political Action" is one of the defined types of actions. As such, a vampire performing a political action cannot perform another political action in the same turn. > Furthermore, in combat, I was under the impression that duplicate combat > cards CAN be played. There is no general restriction against playing duplicate cards. > Laptops. If Deflected, the +1 bleed will still apply. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
