Aehm:
Hi fellow Methusalahs!
Some questions arose during tonights session, and as I'm already ousted,
I may ask them online as well:
- damage prevention cards: may the same damage prevention card be used
more than once in the same round of combat, i.e. may Gitane use three
skin of rock to negate the damage of Black Cats blurred .44?
- may Cloak the Gathering be used twice on the same action, once in its
normal form and once in its superior form?
(Dimple wants to Arson the Ventrue HQ. Democritus says 'Over my Undead
body!'. Dimple plays CtG (normal). Democritus is warned via the Radio.
Can Grendel give Dimple another +1 stealth via superior CtG? The rulebook
says, that the same action modifier cannot be used more than once on the
same action.)
- Can a prince or Justicar use 5th Trad on him- or herself? The prince is
'at home' already, so he can hardly offer some tasty blood conserves to
himself, but why not use them, instead of letting them spoil?)
- ad Malkavian Demantia: I took over Ozmo during my last turn an bled my
prey (the point is, he is tapped). During my next untap, may I give him
back before I untap him? Or do I have to untap him first?
- ad Bonding: can superior bonding be used to just give +1 stealth?
That means, can it be used on any action, not only on bleed actions?
Or may only obfuscate action modifyers (sp?) be used to enhance an
actions stealth?
- ad Kine resource contested/ conservative agitation/ parity shift et al:
does the acting minions meth have to state the amount of pool lost (in
case of CA, e.g.) before or after the intention to block is declared?
We always thought this would be the case, but we learned that other
groups played it differently.
Example: Meth D plays CA in a five player game. Does he have to state:
'Meth C will lose 4 pool, Meth E will lose 1 poll if the vote passes!'
before or after they are given the choice to block? (They are his prey
and predator, of course, respectively).
- may Taste of vitae be used at range? We almost all think yes, but one
of our group has a more 'role-playing-style' approach, and thinks
it can only be used at close range. (His argument is the picture, of
course).
So, if more questions arise, I'll ask them later, but for now, the second
round is about to begin. So long!
Martin

Yes. The only restricted cards (no more than one per whatever) are
Action Modifiers and Reaction cards. Others as per card text.

Yes. One of any given Action Modifier per minion per action.

Officially, yes. Common (and necessary, IMHO) house rule: no.

As of 9/6/95: Untap first. Then return Ozmo at any time during your
untap, before or after any other untap phase effects.

No. Bleed modifiers can only be used on bleeds.
This is opposite to the ruling on Additional Strikes,
where only part of the card need be used.

No. The terms are not set until after the action remains unblocked. [17.1]

Sure. No range-restrictions are listed on the card.
