OK. Two vampires are in combat. One has two blood, one has five. Five
guy has 2 hand damage. Two guy strikes with Lucky Blow. Five guy hand
strikes (thus both are inflicting two damage). Two guy plays Taste of
Vitae. Then Five Guy plays Skin of Rock, at inferior, thus preventing
one damage. When the Skin is replaced, he picks up a Wolf Claws. Damage
resolution phase is not over. Can Five guy play the Wolf Claws? If he
does, does Two guy go to torpor? If taste of Vitae is played, then after
it is played an effect happens that makes the taster go to torpor, is the
taste nullified? Enquiring minds want to know...

Since the damage resolution phase has already begun, Wolf Claws cannot be
played since it must be played *before* the damage resolution has begun.
Next, Skin of Rock prevented one damage, so Taste of Vitae can only be
played for one point, since only one point of actual damage was done.
As a side note, had the "two" vampire taken two aggravated damage and
gone to torpor he could NOT have used the Taste to help himself out. If
you read the card text on Taste of Vitae it clearly states that it cannot
be used by a vampire going to torpor.

Well, not to put too fine an edge on it, the order of play has somehow
gotten (pardon the phrase) completely buggered. First off, Wolf Claws aren't
playable during strike resolution -- at least, not if you want them to affect
that strike. Traditionally, they're played after both minions have
announced strikes, immediately *before* strike resolution. Assuming Claws
were declined, we enter strike resolution; here is where you can play
Skin of Rock. Only *after* strike resolution (or as the last thing you
do in strike resolution, depending on how you're defining the phases --
L. Scott?), can you play Taste of Vitae, which will count damage successfully
applied (in this case, one). You *could* play Wolf Claws at this point, but
you'd need an additional strike to get anywhere with them.
As to your last question, after Taste resolves at the end of/after strike
resolution, it isn't 'undone' exactly, but more damage can certainly be
done to the Taster, via additional strikes or 'take n damage after each round'
effects such as Drawing Out The Beast.
I hope this has been helpful.

The two guy picked his strike as hand because he used the lucky blow

the five guy, I believe, cannot play Wolf Claws because he has already
chosen his strike.
Hope this helps. Anyone want to confirm or deny this claim.

Wolf Claws and the like, can be played up to the moment before strikes
are declared but certainly not after. I can't find a copy of the ruling
at the moment but that's what it is.

Skin is played during strike resolution, Taste is played *after*. Two
guy (if he still chooses to play taste after strike res.) will only
gain one blood (the amount of blood the opposing vampire actually spent
to heal damage).

No. Resolution has (effectively) two sub-phases: apply strike (during
which time Claws should be played), and then heal/prevent damage.
If you've prevented damage, you're past the "apply strike" phase, so
the modified to damage won't back up and modify the damage already
applied.

Nothing can happen "after" Taste to send the Taster to torpor (except
additional strikes, which are clearly not part of the current situation).
This is bacuase Taste is played completely after the strike resolution
phase, so nothing can change the strikes that have resolved.

Wolf Claws and Claws of the Dead can be played at any point during combat
until the very end of strike decleration. Generally, Claws of the Dead
are played right after both vampires have declared their strikes, but
before the damage dealing (and prevention) phase:
Acting minion chooses strike.
Blocking minion chooses strike.
Acting minion declares use of Claws of the Dead.
Blocking minion declares use of Claws of the Dead.
Damage is dealt and/or prevented.
Occasionaly, it might be useful to play CotD early in a combat round, like
before manuvers are played, in hopes of drawing a good card ("Man, I need
that Immortal Grapple..."), but the last point in a combat round when you
can play CotD and have it be effective for that strike is right after both
minions have declared their strikes. That way, you can wait to see if
they Dodge or S:CE before you play your CotD. Remember that CotD is not a
Strike card, it just modifies your minions hand damage, so CotD can be
used with Undead Strength or Lucky Blow or Torn Signpost.
If you draw CotD by playing a Strike card (like Undead Strength) during
strike decleration, you can still play it in that round and have it be
effective. If you draw CotD by playing a damage prevention card (like
Skin of Rock), you can not play CotD and have it effective in that round,
as it is too late to play it during the damage prevention phase.
