Hi, If one use the New Topic button while browsing the section 'A' section, the default section is always 'News And Announcement'. If one forget to set it, it goes to the wrong section. Could it be automatically changed to go by default to section 'A' (the section can still be changed in the form) ? Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

This is strange.. It is always properly set for me.

I tried to reproduce it, but to no avail. Maybe it is when I browse a certain way (from Recent Topics to the topic itself, then somewhere else?) I happened twice so I guess there's a way to reproduce it. I'll tell you then. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Here's the scenario: Click on "Recent Topics" Click on the link "Expansion Sets & Card Ideas" located under "Card idea: Trust No One", right to "by Ankha in" Click "New Topic". The default category is News and Announcements. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

No, I tried twice, with two different older topics from the Recent Topics and the Default was always "Expansion Sets & Card Ideas" Pentex Board of Directors Prince of Oye Plage Alastor Grand Nord

Can't replicate this one with any of my browsers: Firefox 4.0.1, Chrome 13.0.782.112 m, Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385, Opera 10.63. Jussi Hattara Webmaster Extraordinaire Finnish Politics!

It was on FireFox but at work so I don't know which version... Pentex Board of Directors Prince of Oye Plage Alastor Grand Nord

Up. I still have the problem. I go in a subsection, eg. www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/6-rules-questions I click on "New topic". My default post section is "News and Announcements". I try to reload the page, I still have the problem. Using Chrome 17.0.963.79 m Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Weird, it doesn't do it with me Chrome 17.0.963.79 (Windows) Firefox isn't having the issue either.

It's a feature of the Forum software, not an actual bug. If you click on the "New Topic" link at the Forum navigation bar in the very top, it defaults to the first forum (News and Announcements). However, if you click on the red "+ New Topic" button when viewing a Forum, it defaults to the Forum currently viewed. Jussi Hattara Webmaster Extraordinaire Finnish Politics!

I think it should be changed: 1/ how many times does one want to post in the "News and announcements" subsection instead of the current subsection? Never. => it's a useless and confusing feature. 2/ I have deactivated all images while browsing. I can't see the "+New topic" button and therefore can't use it. Both "New topic" and "+New topic" links/buttons should have the same functionality. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

The "+New Topic" button should be visible even if you have disabled images (although without the + in front). Best I can do is remove the link completely, but that would break some functionality of the forum. Jussi Hattara Webmaster Extraordinaire Finnish Politics!

Unless someone gives a really good solution it stays as it is, as it would require too much work to make it work as you'd like it to work, and advertising it with a false label is not an option.
