On the 22nd of june 17 methuselahs gathered to be swallowed by the labyrinth....
For a second year in a row a tournament was held in the airconditioned gamestore the Labyrinth. With the sweltering heat outside this was the best place to be that day.
The atmosphere was great. The games were freindly, yet compatitive. With lots of suprises, because it was a multideck tournament.
After 3 rounds 5 finalist surfaced:
Eric Godthelp (Hecata zombies) > Gerhard Range (Mata Hari pretending to be !nos with inside dirt) > Jeroen van Oort (Ministery Consistant bleed) > Nick Hofman (Lasombra Bleed) > Rolf Engelen (Toreador Tribell Bleed)
Here is the story from Eric’s Finals game:
Hard game. Being lowest seated I had no choose where to sit. In the end I got 3 stealth bleeders behind me. Thinking it would be a quick game for me. My starting crypt was nice with the 2 and 3 cap. But the 9 cap was bad but I also really needed itfor the bounces. With a quick dragon bound and unmasking I got some early defence up and vessels kept me alive long enough to get the 9 cap out. Then my split the veils and corpses started to come out. It was time go go aggressive against my predator. After he was ousted by Nick I made a deal with him to let me get my oust. After I got my oust my table was to big for him to handle with only 3 vampires on low life. Jeroen was also going hard forward. He tried to steal my unstealable zombies so he ended up getting Jake that really saved my ass. After Jeroen ousted Nick it. The time was tikking for me to get him with only 20 min on the clock. But with 4 zombies rushing him and him only having 2 vampires on very low life it was just a matter of time before they hit the dust. With 9 minutes left the conceded and left me victorious.
