Dear all, I'm happy to announce a Grand Prix this year in the UK, in our lovely capital of London! www.vekn.net/event-calendar/event/11925https://www.vekn.net/event-calendar/event/11925 Date: Saturday, 17th May, 2025 First round starting time: 10:30 Lunch: 12:30-13.30 Expected finishing time: 20:00 Type of Event: Grand Prix Number of rounds: 3 + final Time limit per round: 2 hours Address of Event: Kingdom Wargames London 171-173 Hornsey Rd, London N7 6RA soft drinks can be bought on site, there are shops and fast food restaurants within 10 minutes walk and a Tesco supermarket across the road. Entry fee: £30 Side note - As we are not in the EU we cannot get Ultra-Pro prizes shipped directly to us. If you live in the EU, know you can attend and would be willing to have these prizes shipped for you to bring to the event, please let me know! *** Pre-registration *** Please register in advance, this can be done via the paypal link in the VEKN event (paypal.me/jfreimuller). Please provide your name, email and VEKN ID so we can link this to you. Pre-registration helps us in two ways - 1 - we can properly identify demand. We are limited to 50 spaces (one floor). Registration closes 11th May 2- To save us time to get moving quickly in the morning, we can already have the archon mostly ready to go! GETTING THERE: Kingdom Wargames is a 10 minute walk from Finsbury park station. You can get there by taking the London Underground Victoria Line north from Kings Cross St Pancras for 2 stops. Eurostar arrives in St Pancras so can use Kings Cross St Pancras Underground station. All other London airports (DO NOT USE LONDON LUTON / LONDON SOUTHEND - These are not close to London) have train/bus options into central london to then get the underground. HOTELS: As you can imagine, London is expensive to stay in. Your best bet for a reliable and reasonable-ish price is chains like Travelodge/Premier Inn, or being careful on Booking.com. Friday- The game store is available for booking tables at a charge to play for an evening, so if you would like to play casual games on Friday we can try to coordinate to book tables. Sunday - We have a 2R+F side event with 25 spaces beginning at 9am so that flights can still happen home on Sunday. You can registration for that by emailing me. I hope to see you there!
