Player A has all his vampires in torpor and Player A's total pool is 3. Player B is Player's A predator. Player B announces a bleed for 4 with his vampire Lucian the Perfect. Player A has the card Archon Investigation in hand. Can player A play Archon Investigation on this bleed action? 1) No, as player A has only 3 pool the attempted bleed from Lucian the Perfect is only a bleed for 3, so Archon Investigation can't be played 2) Yes, the total of Victory points that player A gets on this game is not affected by playing or not playing Archon Investigation, player A is ousted after playing Archon Investigation. Lucian the Perfect is not burned. Player B gets 1 victory point and 6 pool 3) No, player A would die playing the Archon Investigation, playing the card would be against the Play to Win 4) Yes, the total of Victory points that player A gets on this game is not affected by playing or not playing Archon Investigation, player A is ousted after playing Archon Investigation. Lucian The Perfect is burned. Player B gets 1 victory point and 6 pool. CORRECT Relevant cardtexts: Name: Archon Investigation Cardtype: Master Cost: 3 pool Out-of-turn. Only usable if a minion is bleeding you and the bleed amount is 4 or more, after blocks are declined. Burn the acting minion. (The action is not successful.) Name: Lucian, the Perfect Cardtype: Vampire Clan: Guruhi Group: 4 Capacity: 11 Discipline: ANI AUS DOM OBF POT PRE Laibon: Strikes against Lucian cost an additional blood or life. A minion opposing Lucian may choose not to strike. +3 bleed.

Thanks!

Correct. As a side note, playing the Archon Investigation can help if a Life Boon is played (since it requires fewer pool to keep play A alive), but prevents Major Boon from being played. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
