Hello all. I have been working on a small project in the form of a blog, to gather and share information about tournaments and winning decks. Please allow me to share: it is written in my clumsy english, but is somehow spanish-friendly. thethessalianscrolls.blogspot.com/ This is just the start of it. Any suggestion, rant or critic that helps to enhance the site will be welcome. Thank you!

Thanks for your reports! I notice that some tournaments are missing for March, for instance www.vekn.net/forum/event-reports-and-twd/80360-twd-coupe-de-paris-france-2023-03-04#107530 How is that? Is there anything the organizer must do? Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Hello! Thanks for writing! sorry I didn´t answer earlier... I usually try to include all events I have notice of the TWD like till the 15th of the following month (as I need some time to write the entries), so unfortunately I may leave some of them out of the scope,. This only happens if the twd is published after that period. But the case you mention, I think I did include both the deck, the event and the winner, Rahma, in the charts and the data. Please, tell me what are you missing from the coup de Paris in the march report? Also, if you miss any other event, I will be pleased to review if there is something I have not noticed. Thank you and nice week-end!

Once again VERY nice and useful analytics! Disciplines: Perhaps the inclusion of some not so stellar disciplines like Celerity is to the fact that they are a support disciplines which are found in the Vampires but not really used in the decks? Or does the data you've used only count the single most used discipline in each deck or, better yet, estimate from the Library contents what is the main discipline of each of the decks? Achetypes: -I haven't run across the term Guns 'n' Roses before but thought it was extremely descriptive and funny to boot! -What is a "killer" deck? ("stealth killer", "big cap killer") -Great to see Gangrel perform well EXPECIALLY with having Stanislava decks separated from them! I wonder if there would be a way to somehow include the tournament size to these findings? Although, first we'd need to define what makes a small, medium or large tournament. Although, a problem that would rise from this is the fact that there aren't really all that many larger, or even medium, tournaments being held... :/ But perhaps doing an annual data gathering for only larger (or larger AND medium) tournaments might be attainable? I would suggest however that you mix decks with a proeminent clan with deck with a poreminent discipline. For instance, it doesn't really make any sense for a Weenie DEM, weenie ANI or tap'n'bleed using Presence and Mind Numb to pick a clan for them. Thanks for reading and for your comments! About disciplines, at the moment the feature is counting decks that include at least 1 card of a given discipline. Due to the nature of my research, I could not think of an easy way to count discipline cards in each deck (what would be the most precise). It requires a lot of time and is beyond my possibilities right now... I like to think on the disciplines chart as an indicator... there are other features that are much more precise. I was surprised too by the high rate of Cel, but I think it has to do with the good rates for Banu Haqim, Brujah and Toreador guns (or Guns´n´Roses hehe). I believe we use to think on Cel as a support discipline, but maybe after V5 we should rethink that... I will remember to follow up this on the next months... The killer denomination, I though it would reflect they are decks that are focused on direct attack to the pool of their prey. I tried to illustrate their aggressive mood, but it is just a personal denomination, and I´m open to suggestions Yeah, Stanislava won just 1 of the 9 tournament won by Gangrel. Not good times for her, it seems And regarding tournament size, I am already considering the number of players in the events as a % rate for most indicators, but I agree with you in the need to discriminate big events from regular ones. I am thinking of a max number of players to include the event in the regular season... 50 or 75 is what now I am thinking of, and maybe 50 is the best number. What are your thoughts? Annual summary of big events is a very good idea... I find they have their own, different meta. I will write it in my calendar! Thanks!

THanks for the comment. Yes, I agree with you on your point. I am eager to make upgrades on the research, and that would be a good one. I will meditate on a way to incorporate such a feature. At the moment, I think those decks for which clan is not important are being represented in the archetypes, but I will think about it! Regards!!!

Also, inferior Celerity tends to be pretty darn feeble. Weenie Celerity stickmen is about the only Cel-centered deck that I know. Not good times for her, it seems > Nah, it would seem that BCP managed to make the other options for the clan viable besides just her. Which is just GREAT! I'd also say that using other options besides Stanislava are perhaps a bit less risky as she tends to fall into pieces when matched against combat monsters that can get around combat end (say the currently prevalent Banu Haqim as well as the traditional IG Potence combat) > Pritoos wrote: > And regarding tournament size, I am already considering the number of players in the events as a % rate for most indicators, but I agree with you in the need to discriminate big events from regular ones. Hmmm, perhaps 20 and under would be small? More than 50 would be large? If you want to be pedant about it,make an annual tally of all the tournament sizes for the past 1-3 years and decide the switch off points for the sizes based on that. Giving perhaps a bit more weight to the latest year? Finnish Politics!

There is an archetype "Old Assamites" winning a tournament this month...! RESPECT! Also, nice to notice that in the card types it ain't Action or Action Modifiers (ie. Bleed or Stealth) that score the highest but Combat. Good to see that Combat cards have gained momentum which I think is probably due to the fact that BCP has tried to make Combat a more viable option as a winning strategy. Just as nice it is to see Dominate taking a downfall in Disciplines. Variance is good! And having only three Ashur Tablets decks in the list is just awesome! Once again, THANK YOU for the interesting, and important, analysis of the current meta! <3 Finnish Politics!

Hello! Thanks for reading. Yes, an anarch section of the Banu Haqim won a tournament in may! I think I will change the name to "Vintage assamite" or something, maybe Vintage Banu Haqim, so that I am in line with the new terminology. You can find the list here: www.vekn.net/forum/event-reports-and-twd/80531-twd-powerbase-recife-forest-of-shadows#108091 Master cards use to be the most used, but in May, combat cards have raised a lot. We will see if it is a tendency... I am eager to complete the Q2 accumulated and see how this all has evolved.

When you've been doing this long enough, remember to compare the attendance numbers against the previous year's same month. This will take into account seasonal changes in attendance. EDIT: Ah, and Good Stuff TM as always! Finnish Politics!

As a big Ashur Tablets fan I tend to play them less and less because the current meta goes too fast. For Legionnaires I have the impression that people are starting to know how to play against.

I agree with you that Ashur tablets and multimaster, being a good sinergy, are somehow reducing their impact. According to my counting, they have lowered their rate of success from 25% to 20% in the last few months. This may be due to the fast meta, or maybe to their auto-correction condition (the more ashur tablets are seen in a tournament, the harder it is to get a good revenue from them). Emerald Legionnaires, on the other side, are growing in importance, and the Emerald Harbinger archetype has been quite successful in Q2. I am working on the consolidated data for the spring season, and they have become one of the 5 most successful arquetypes. I don´t see a problem with that, anyway. They are a solid archetype and deserve to be there, but their succcess is by no means abusive. In fact, there is no archetype that can be called a "bully" so far this year. Decks that use Emerald Legionnaires outside of the Harbinger clan are rare these days, though they are still very good. This year, I can think on the one piloted by Tomas Lopez in the finals in the Spanish NC ( ) Also, maybe they get some more love, now that BCN Crisis has made a video about his brilliant version ( ) But I believe there may be some issue with them as long as, like you say, probably more people are learning how to play against them. Good point!
