Hi, I have some doubts about the card rules from Fall of London: The Guardian When The Guardian is locked to enter combat by special text, who is considered an acting minion (who plays first)? The Shard, London The card says "card you play", not "you and your minions". Since the cost can also be paid in blood, I assume the card interacts with minion's cards as well (not just Master cards)? Mobile HQ, Operation Antigen Is locking Mobile HQ to enter combat cost of the successful action, or is it locked when the action is announced? Enhanced Coagulant The strike works only against vampires? You can't deal 3 damage to an ally, right? Thanks.

The Guardian can lock after resolution of a successful bleed against you to enter combat with the acting minion. Cardtext. > Palamedes wrote: > The Shard, London > The card says "card you play", not "you and your minions". Minion cards are played both by the Methuselah and the minion. > Palamedes wrote: > Mobile HQ, Operation Antigen > Is locking Mobile HQ to enter combat cost of the successful action, or is it locked when the action is announced? > Name: Mobile HQ, Operation Antigen [FoL:1] Cardtype: Master Cost: 2 pool Unique location. Operation Antigen. An Operation Antigen ally you control can lock this location to attempt to enter combat with a vampire as a +1 stealth action. You can lock this location to add enough life to an Operation Antigen ally you control to reach their starting life. You can lock this location and burn 2 pool to cancel an action card that targets an Operation Antigen card you control as it is played; its cost is not paid. Lock the card in order to announce the action. > Palamedes wrote: > Enhanced Coagulant > The strike works only against vampires? Strike: 3 unpreventable damage and put this card on the opposing vampire; it becomes a card with "Cards requiring a Discipline cost this vampire +1 blood. After this vampire successfully hunts, burn this card". Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

this might be dumb question, but does enhanced coagulant work at long range? The card says strike not ranged strike, but as far as I know cards like entombment also have just strike there not ranged strike and they do work at range.

self biased

which is a perfect example of having the exception of "unless it does "R" damage being a confusing thing for some people. we could just as easily make it an "R" strike and use the same Circle for the action reminder.

Can usa The Guardian ability with cards like On the Qui Vive or Wake the Evening’s Fresh for example?

Xto316

Can i Use The Shard, London with Antoine D’Erlette’s ability with Nephandus ?

"Lock this card. Do something." would be different, but it's not the case here. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Hi Could I ask why this work while disguised + vidal jarbeaux doesnt? Both cases you are not playing the card by definition of what played means inside the game, by detailed play summary. There is not an "as played window" on both cases but for vidal, it does check while the shard does not check while having played at text: "If you have the Edge, you can lock this card to reduce the cost of a card you play by 2 pool or blood"- I'm not trying to object a rulling, I'm just confused about when one applies and when it does not Many thanks in advance

Camarilla: Vidal can meet the clan, sect, or non-infernal vampire trait (e.g., Black Hand) requirement to play any card. He can meet a given requirement only once each game. +1 bleed. Disguised Weapon Obfuscate Only usable before range is chosen if you have a weapon card in your hand. Equip this vampire with that weapon (and pay cost to equip as normal). As above, but usable when choosing a strike. Powerbase: Tshwane Master: unique location. Requires a ready Laibon. Lock this location to reduce the cost of a card you play by 1 pool (this location is not locked if that card is canceled as it is played). The main differences are that Vidal can PLAY cards, disguised and concealed weapon say EQUIP. Shard and the Powerbase indicate cards that YOU ( the player) play, not vidal, which cover a broader range of cards. So for the Shard the condition of being a card played by you is fulfilled When you use Concealed weapon the card say equip the minion but it is not Vidal equipping with it, it's Concealed weapon card special card text, therefore Vidal ability is not checked and all the normal rules and restrictions for equipping must be fulfilled
