Baltimore purge questions

Stanislava has on her baltimore purge, renewed vigor (for), and fame. We are in Stani players unlock phase, and purge is about to trigger. Question: Can Stani player order the effects so that he only takes 3 pool damage from fame and not 4? ie. Purge triggers, torporizes Stani; Fame triggers, Stani player takes 3 pool damage; Renewed vigor is used, bringing Stanislava back to ready.
