Rulebook definition of blood hunt vs card texts

There seems to be a disconnect between the definition of a 'blood hunt' in the current rulebook, and how cards affecting blood hunts are worded. The Rulebook: > > When a vampire commits diablerie, a referendum is automatically and immediately conducted to determine if a blood hunt will be called on the diablerist. If the referendum passes, a blood hunt is called, and the diablerist is burned. > Gangrel Conspiracy: > > Cancel a blood hunt called on a Gangrel antitribu. You may play this card during your turn. > The wording on Gangrel Conspiracy would seem to suggest you cancel the effect of a passing referendum, if you read the rulebook verbatim. However, the actual use of Gangrel Conspiracy cancels the preceding "blood hunt referendum". There may be other examples, but I didn't check. Suggest updating either the rulebook or applicable cards as appropriate to avoid confusion for inexperienced players.

Gangrel Conspiracy cancels a blood hunt, not a blood hunt referendum. So once the referendum passes, Gangrel Conspiracy can be played. If the blood hunt referendum fails, there is no blood hunt and Gangrel Conspiracy cannot be played. groups.google.com/g/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/c/hlK89M1M9rk/m/qNtOFQfDK-oJ Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

TIL! Thanks for clearing that up, Ankha.
