Dear All, Here is my Scenario: I control Warsow Station Byzar has no "Burn Counter" Byzar uses successfuly Clan Impersonation to become Nosferatu. Byzar goes to torpor with 5 blood. My ready vampire A with 3 blood goes for Byzar'sdiablerie. That action is successful. My ready vampire B has 3 blood. So, the following happens: Diablerie sequence from the rulebook - 1 : Vampire A steal all the blood from Byzar - 2 : Vampire A may steal any equipment from Byzar - 3 : Try to burn Byzar => Byzar is not burnt and get 1 "Burn Token" May I do the following now? - I burn the Warsaw Station before The blood hunt is called? I think yes. - If I can but the Warsaw Station as stated before, may I then play Ritual of the Bitter Roses? I would say yes. To sum up if I am not wrong: Before the blood hunt referendum starts, I have: - Vampire A has 3(the blood he has before the diablerie action) + 5(blood from diablerie) + 5(from Ritual of the Bitter roses) = 13 blood - Byzar in the ready Region with 5 blood (from Ritual of the Bitter roses). - vampires B has 3 + 5(from Ritual of the Bitter roses) = 8 blood. Card Texts: Name: Byzar Cardtype: Vampire Sabbat: If Byzar would be burned, {instead} put 1 burn counter on him and move him to torpor{}. If he has 3 burn counters, remove him from the game. +1 stealth. Name: Clan Impersonation Cardtype: Action Choose a clan and put this card on the acting vampire. This vampire is considered to be of the chosen clan instead of his or her original clan (if any). This vampire can burn this card as an action. Name: Warsaw Station Cardtype: Master You can burn this card (even if it is locked) to move a Nosferatu in torpor to the ready region. Name: Ritual of the Bitter Rose Each ready vampire you control gains an amount of blood from the blood bank equal to the amount of blood on a vampire being burned either by diablerie or while in combat with this vampire. IIRC the whole diablerie is atomic and can't be interrupted. So you don't have the opportunity to use an effect (including WS) to move byzar from torpor to the ready region between the "burn effect" and the blood hunt.

Byzar's ability make the whole diablery unsuccessful. > His ability will make a diablerie unsuccessful (blood and equipment stay on him). > [LSJ 20100228] So his blood stays where it is, Ritual of the Bitter Rose cannot be played, there is no blood hunt.

Dear all, Thanks Lip, sorry I forgot to double-check the Codex before posting! Anymway, does this rulings also works for Sacrificial Lamb? I would say that it may not be possible to move equipment since the card text refers to "burnt vampire". Card Text: Name: Sacrificial Lamb Cardtype: Action Cost: 3 blood Discipline: Obfuscate [obf] Burn a vampire in torpor that you control. The acting vampire gains blood equal to the burned vampire's capacity (ignore excess blood). You may also transfer equipment from the burned vampire to this one. This action is not considered diablerie. Regards, Rémi. I am Rémi Cavaillé (), Barcelona (Spain). I was the Prince of Lyon (France) around 2003. Well, no idea on that ☺︎ I would say it fizzles since the vampire does not burn, but I'm no RD ☺︎

There is not burned vampire, so you don't get blood (but it's another ruling) groups.google.com/g/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/c/YnQCu0GeMhc/m/ET__SGvjD7QJ Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
