Special rule:
A contested vampire remains in play. Their controller must pay 1 pool to continue to contest them, or yield during the unlock phase, but can play with them normally (act, block, play cards, cast votes or ballots etc.). If this vampire has a title that is also contested, the vampire must pay 1 blood point to keep it, as usual.
Announcement from BCP: www.blackchantry.com/2020/05/09/new-rule-test-contesting-crypt-cards.
Special rule contested vampires(for now): if some unique vampire special afect whole table then efect is cumulative, because his special is unique,so example for Leandro paying pool is cumulative,Servius Mauris Pustala each player get +2X hand size.....

Remember: we want data.
We are especially interested in game reports including:
Frequency: How many games had a vampire being contested / games played? The situation of the two (or more) players contesting (prey/predator? other?) For how long the vampires were contested. How did it end? How much blood was left on the vampire after the contest? Is the penalty balanced from their point of view? from the non-contesting players’ point of view? Are star decks appearing more often over time? (It can take time for the players to adjust to the new rule)
This means that if there were not vampire contest on your table, we are still interested by your game data to find out the frequency of contest.
Also, feel free to play any deck you want!

I'm worried that while this league will generate info towards frequenzy of contestation part, the other effects of having multiple same vampires running around table might not get enough data.
Thus I have a request:
Beslin Igor and co, could you after this one is over, please organize another league where it is purposefully set up so that contestation does occur. Say for a five player game draw a lot. Two of the players draw a single name from list of say 20 most commonly seen powerhouse star vampires (Unnamed, Lutz, Anson, Arika etc.) both having to play deck where the named vampire plays pivotal role. Other players can also play decks with vampires drawn from that lis are even encouraged to do so, but they can play whatever they want.
To make this work: Start list needs to be agreed on and
All player have to make before hand at least one deck for vampire named on the list. Maybe draw from TWDA if you don't have a deck for given name yourself

I thinked about that, but I think is not fair to I force people to play decks if they dont want. people can chose everthing to play. but I will see with BC after this league be finished if we need this idea in practice.
Also, we'd like to know how often it happens, not get biaised results by forcing players to contest vampires.

It dont happen more ofter because of the contest rule, to get a non biaised result check tournment reports from before the rule.
If you look at Igor report you will see that lots of decks are unique/vampire based instead of concept based, for example:
Malgorzata
Stanislava
Gabrin
Lazverinus
Unnamed
Matasuntha
Sha-Enmu
Lutz
Montano
Rachel Brandwyne
Antonio D'erlette (nephandus/tupdog probably use it)
I know that you randomly stumble with a deck that uses a uncommon crypt just sucks, but you cant use this to let the star decks run wild, remember that we already dont have Pentex anymore.
If you take a look at decks prior Pentex nerf, every star deck have at least one way to avoid it Wash, Sudden, another Pentex for contest, etc...
After the nerf this cards started to fade from those kind of decks and they become even more narrow.
The risk/reward balance changed, less risk, same reward.
Without the big impact of contest, the risk is decreased another time and the reward will be the same.
You dont see contest happen often because people actively avoid it, its not just random chances.
Someone contest a Pariah is bad luck LOW RISK/low reward, someone constest a Stanislava is expected HIGH RISK/high reward.
The biggest problem is that when contest happens usually is with those big caps and its catastrophic because you lose more then 11 pool and a lot of turns.
The new influence rule kinds of avoid it making it possible to influence to contest only if you want.
My proposal is:
Instead of change the Contest rules, changes the influence rules.
Pay 1 pool to be able to move transfers ( up to your transfers ) from from one card in your uncontrolled region to another with the same age or younger (to avoid Govern the unaligned and other cards to be abusable) in your uncontrolled region (impossible with a Brainwash or similar in any of those 2 cards).
That way if you happens to be in the same table and someone brings your vampire to the table, instead of influence back all the way at half transfers and then influence back at normal rate you can just influence "sideways" to open another vampire.
Example 1:
Round 1 - Player A Influence 2 in Arika
Player B influence 4 in Arika
Round 2 - Player A influence +4 ( total 6 in Arika )
Player B use Zillahs and bring arika to the game
Round 3 - Player A instead of influence more in arika, pay 1 pool, influence "sideways" 4 transfers from Arika to Lucinde and influence more 4 in Lucinde.
Round 4 - Player A move influence more 2 in Lucinde and influence 2 in arika to force a contest...
Example 2 -
Round 1
Player A uses Information highway and influence 3 in enkidu
Player B Plays Zilah and influence 8
Round 2
Player A influence +6 in enkidu ( total 9 )
Player B brings Enkidu
Round 3
Player A influence pay 1 pool, influence 6 "sideways" from enkidu to Karsh and influence more 4 to bring it to the game.
The "transfers ratio" is just an idea of how to keeps it balanced instead of just move all counters but maybe you can remove the crypt card from the game to move all transfers from one card to another.
That can help with the problem of contest without change the unique mechanic

What happens to the title contest of Hardestadt vs. Hardestadt and of Rafael de Corazon vs. Rafael de Corazon under this contestation rule?
Will the first copy have to yield his title when he reaches his turn with the other copy still active?

The proposed rule change that is currently playtested will open up many a can of worms just like Hakuron showed above.
These would be better left unopened!
Finnish Politics!
I think the example Hakuron posted should be relatively easy to handle: the next player controlling a copy of the contested Inner Circle that starts their unlock phase must yield the contest of the title. Assuming that there are only 2 copies of the respective vampire in play, when the 2nd reaches their unlock phase, the contest is ended. Furthermore, Hardestadt's special does not apply to himself in the case of contest, and after a copy of Hardestadt has yielded the title, that copy isn't contesting anymore, so that copys special also doesn't apply anymore.
But there is another weird example: Crusade: Aragon and two Sabbat Lucitas in play. Ideas, anyone?
Crusade: Aragon
Requires a Sabbat vampire. Title.
If this referendum passes, put this card on the acting vampire to represent the unique Sabbat title of Archbishop of Aragon. If Lucita is in play and is Sabbat, put this card on her instead.

Start with the acting Methuselah and move clockwise. The first Lucita encountered gains the title.

This one is very tricky because you can't put the card on two different copies; however, since the card is a placeholder for the title, let's say it is contested (out of play) and both Lucita contest the title. Whatever copy wins the contest will receive the card to represent that title.

Another good question raised by Ossian on Discord:
What if a Spell of Life brings out an ally contesting a vampire already in play ?
Is the ally contested and kept out of play while the vampire is kept into play contested ?
This does seem logical but a bit unfair
Spell of Life
+1 stealth action.
Put this card in play. Only one Spell of Life may be played each turn. You may burn five Spells of Life to put up to five vampires from your uncontrolled region in play. Each represents a unique mummy ally with life equal to capacity, 1 bleed and 2 strength who can enter combat with a minion as a Ⓓ action.
Another great example why the contesting rule, if changed, should NOT be changed in a manner that let several unique vampires be present at the table!
So many complications involving it, so that can of worms should best be kept shut.

But to me it looks like that the current contestation rule test is nevertheless helpful:
It helps us to understand better why exactly the rulebook version of this rule is "good" and/or "bad".

Usually a vampire in play would be contested by the mummy brought into play via Spell of Life. Would now both vampire and mummy be able to "play their game"?

So according to rulebook, rules count unique cards with the same name. The mummies are unique and have same name as the vampire, so they would contest, as far as I can see.

Well, sure, but I would have expected them to contest as allies, meaning they would be out of play and not able to act. Do they contest as vampires, staying in play, because they are contesting a vampire ? Or does this extend to all allies and we can now have two Carlton in play ? I'm confused.

If the contesting rule being playtested is approved you won't be the only one.
Allowing several Unique minions to exist on the game at the same time opens up a huge can of worms which would be better left unopened.
Notable and better alternatives have been proposed. If the rule needs to be changed it would be much wiser to use them since they do not allow multiple Unique minions to co-exist.

Mummies aren't vampires, so I guess they don't stay in play? It doesn't make a difference whether they are out of the game or not, since they still contest. (Same as the old vampire contest rule) Difference is that vampires would be able to act while contesting whereas allies wont. I don't think this is terribly complicated.
I did have to double check the rulebook about contesting. Seems like the only things that matter are the cards name and its uniqueness. Whether the card (with the same name) is an ally or vampire or anything else doesn't really matter. They still contest.

Their controller must pay 1 pool to continue to contest them, or yield during the unlock phase, but can play with them normally (act, block, play cards, cast votes or ballots etc.). If this vampire has a title that is also contested, the vampire must pay 1 blood point to keep it, as usual.
So if someone want to be judge in finals inform me here in topic or in private mesage, same if someone can stream finals, make register here or in private mesage. If be more judges and stream people we must to chose one of them.

Well played! I doubted reapers victory up until the last turn.

Thanks for the correction, I was misled by some peoples talk during the finals. I forgot it was actually 3v2 and not a victory by seeding as someone said.

FINALS GAME REPORT
Seating
Marcus "Reaper" (Emerald Legion)
-> Milutin "MM11" (True Power)
-> Nikica "ResurrectioN" (Mistress & Malgorzata)
-> Jennifer "Teylen" (Shambling Hordes)
-> Rudolf "TheBard" (Rebekka Powerbleed)
Game Report
Teylen negotiates with ResurrectioN to avoid some heavy bleed and rush forward,
quickly sending one of TheBard's minion to torpor, helped by Reaper's Dark Influences to counter TheBard's Majesty . TheBard uses Entrancement to steal Ossian then a Shambling Hordes from Teylen in retaliation, leaving her open. Teylen is ousted first after ResurrectioN uses Mistress Fanchon 's ability to fetch an Ancilla Empowerment .
Reaper manages to get an Emerald Legionnaire out, but it is quickly dispatched by MM11's Outside the Hourglass . TheBard fails to apply much pressure on Reaper as he carefully builds up and keeps minions unlocked. ResurrectioN fetches an Anarchist Uprising and moves for the kill: he bleeds for 3 and ousts TheBard, who has no Telepathic Misdirection remaining.
With 1:20 remaining, the game is down to three players with ResurrectioN at two VPs.
Reaper puts pressure on the table to get things moving faster throughout the second part of the game. MM11 bleeds for 1 most of the game, using many tricks to unlock and avoid combat. Reaper juggles with Villein and Liquidation to stay alive, and finally manages to keep a Legionnaire in play and use its ability. Combined with Babalawo 's ability, he has 5 of them in play in the next turn. MM11 manages to block ResurrectioN's Reins of Power , but succumbs to the growing pressure of the Legion.
The end of the game is tense, and Reaper manages to build up his Legion until 7 Legionnaire are in play. He finally ousts ResurrectioN after going through his 20 remaining pool, with only 3 minutes remaining on the timer.
