Since the question was asked elsewhere, the dates are now public: Week of the Nightmare from August 12th to 18th 2019. CE Tournaments August 16/17/18 2019. There is also a 2 months left for the drawing contest: What we want is you to create what best illustrates the European Championship of VTES in Paris. You are absolutely free for your inspiration, whether you go large with Vampires in Paris, or more narrow on the theme of our favorite card game. The winning design will be printed on the t-shirts created for the EC in Paris and the designer will be offered his registration to the EC with all the goodies, including a t-shirt with his own drawing. If the winner does not come to the EC, he'll be offered all the goodies he would have had if he had come. You can upload your drawings on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/ParisVtes, the Twitter account twitter.com/ParisVtes or by email before Sunday, January 13, 2019 23h59. Hi guys, so I made a hotel reservation for a double room at the recommended Ibis Styles Montreuille from Thursday 15th to Monday 19th. I’m willing to share room and costs. PM me if you‘re interested. Alf PSA: I might snore according to my wife but you don‘t go to the EC planning to sleep a lot, I suppose <INSERT CLEVER QUOTATION HERE>

EC travellers be aware of the following - the hotel staff has difficulties understanding or responding to simple questions about booking in English - booking requires sending printed, and scanned details of credit card info (including security code) to the hotel - you get same room without all that hassle and in cheaper price if booking is done online

Based on my experience, booking EC hotel was easier, faster, safer and cheaper when done online via booking.com

I called them to get a special offer. (booking.com was in my case not cheaper but I guess to all to check it,..) And the booked me three times with the wrong dates.... ^^ (Also as I tried to communicate with them per mail.) That could be an interesting trip... . And if you stay longer and out of the special price they will book your reservation directly from your credit card. And not like discussed if you arrive at the desk like confirmed. This is why I'm an English teacher, it's pretty sad that our hotel staff people are just that bad at English Try Globish and through the email provided: www.vekn.fr/ec2019/accomodation/ Thankfully Paris has thousands of options, so it'll be fine

I don't see the problem here as it's credit card. Anyway, I've already taken the risk, so whoever shares my room doesn't have the hassle with the hotel <INSERT CLEVER QUOTATION HERE>

Is it possible to know how late the EC 2nd day (18/08) could finish ? It is difficult to book a train ticket without knowing when to start. There is no schedule at all on the site. Thanks in advance.

I queue my request since there's a chance that we will arrive at BVA at 8.50am on Friday. It is possible that we can attend Friday tournament? Lurking in the underground of Bologna, Italy

Fellow Methuselahs! As the unofficial VEKN liaison to Ultra Pro I'm pleased to announce that now the Grand Prix Tour is over (sans the finals at EC) as we still have a sizeable amount of the playmats Ultra Pro kindly made specifically for us that we can finally announce that the remaining copies will be handed out to those VTES players who participate the European Championships (Day One) in Paris this August. There are not enough playmats for every attendee but, like during the GP Tour, the recipients will be only those who have not yet received a copy. This way we will be able to spread the goodies, and Caine's love, to the maximum number of players! This should hopefully cover all the EC attendees who have yet to receive their copy. So perhaps this will prompt some of you who have not yet managed to decide whether or not to attend EC to make the decision to participate in the premier VTES event of the year. We will have lists of people who have already received their copy during the GP tour but if by some mistake you are offered a second copy, please be honest and decline it so that as many people as possible will get their copy (for example, the permanent fixture at each GP, Martin W, would be receiving his sixth copy at Paris, but the gentleman has been kind enough to decline the offers of additional copies when mistakenly offered a new one at some GPs. Outstanding show of character, Martin!) Unfortunately my contact works for just Ultra Pro Europe so the deal sadly only covers Europe. But hopefully this continuous support from them, as well as the influx of new products from Black Chantry and regrowth of VTES will prompt Ultra Pro to produce actual regular selable product for VTES to the benefit of the playerbase all over the world! Later this year I'm hoping to negotiate a similar deal for next year with our kind and generous sponsor Ultra Pro so we will have something for next GP season as well. With the VTES Art Director we've already been doing some very preliminary and minor brainstorming regarding possible next year's artwork. Do you have any ideas? Finnish Politics!
