This is the rules and organization compendium for the LackeyCCG League as of 22.07.2018.
Schedule:
League Games will be played each Monday, starting on 9th of July 2018 until 20th of August 2018
American League: Start: 7pm PDT Registration Time: 6:30pm-6:45pm 2 hour time limit for 4 player tables; 2,5 hour time limit for 5 player tables
European League:: Start: 9pm CEST Registration Time: 8:30pm-8:45pm 2 hour time limit for 4 player tables; 2,5 hour time limit for 5 player tables
A player can play only one game each week.
Min. number of games needed: 3
Max. number of games possible: 7
Registration:
To register, whisper your facebook or real name to one of the organizers online on Lackey 15-30 min prior to when each game starts.
When you register for a game in a certain League, you are automatically bound to it for that League Period. (A player can only play in one League, either American or European)
Tables will be filled with "first come first serve". If a player has to be left out, he gets a guaranteed spot for his next showing.
On the rare occassion you cant make the registration time, but know you will be on time for when the game starts, you can contact one of the organizers beforehand.
Setting up the Game:
After the registration is complete, the Organizers will post the tables in Lackey Chat. (5 or 4 player tables)
Although the order has no impact on the actual seating, the first player named for each table is asked to host the game.
Once all players are in the game, you have to load your deck before continuing with seating. (you can choose different decks each time you play)
Next each player rolls D20 to determine seating. The order of play is from lowest to highest. (lowest roll will be starting player).
You can then place and look at your starting crypt and see your starting hand cards.
To finish the Setup do the following:
Choose one player to take the time on the table.
Declare if you are streaming or recording the game.
Connect on a voice program like Discord or Skype if all players on the table agree to use it.
Once everyone is ready you are free to start your League Game. gl and hf
The Clock and You:
Since we do want to have fair games as much as possible, you are allowed to stop the time whenever necessary.
This includes but is not restricted to: disconnects, players beeing afk, rule questions, explaining lackey mechanics;
It is not allowed to stop time for things like: deals, chatting, ashur tablets or similiar game mechanics.
Rulings and Judge:
The current VEKN tournament rules apply.
In most situations we expect each table to handle it by themselves using google search, vtes group chat or vekn site for references.
Even though you are allowed to stop the time, if you cant find a solution in a timely manner, you can reach out to one of the organizers to get a final decision.
If a player disconnects he will be given 15min to resolve the issue.
If this player cannot return, the predator will get 1vp 3pools and the game continues, unless all remaining players agree to
reschedule a new game with a substitute player. (the rescheduled game can take place anytime until the following sunday)
Reporting and Disqualification:
To report someone, 2 players on the table have to inform one of the organizers. (Facebook or Email)
Either a warning will be given (e.g. disconnects) or an outright disqualification (e.g. unsportsmanlike behavior, rage quit).
At the 3rd warning a player is automatically disqualified for the rest of the league.
Spectators and/or Streaming:
Please respect that you are not allowed to do any sort of coaching, discussion of play or rule-mongering as spectator or stream viewer.
Results and Rating:
When the Game finishes one of the remaining players will report the results to an Organizer. (Facebook or Email)
You will get 8 points for a Game Win and 4 points for each Victory point, divided by the number of games you played.
In case of same rating points, the tiebreakers are in this order: VPs, total games played, number of warnings, dice roll.
The current ratings will be posted and updated on our Facebook VTES LackeyCCG Group page and on www.vekn.net/forum/lackeyccg
A Final of the 5 best players from each League will be played to determine the LackeyCCG Summer League American Champion 2018, and respectively the
LackeyCCG Summer League European Champion 2018.

That's a good question. We didn't want someone who showed up every week, but didn't do well to simply earn enough points by showing up that they're higher ranked than someone who only made the league minimum number of games.
The reason that this league is so short is to work out these kinds of issues before we put on a bigger league. Suggestions are welcome.

You could take the best 3 games. A good player that can't play often will get a score comparable to another player that plays more.

Our main idea was to organize competitive games that are much better than friendly games because all results are counted. We also counted on players who are not interested to play friendly games but competitive games yes. We give them a chance to play an online competition 1 time per week. We hope that they like the competition that they will play a large number of games. players who also love the competition and can not play each round is enough to play a minimal number of games without being resultant injured we have a program that will calculate the best average of the games. Counting the best results and deleting the worst is disregarding the results the player has made. it's not a good idea for a player who plays more bad games to be in advantage over a good player who has played fewer games.
We invite all interested to come and play competitive games with us every next 7 Monday

In my experience trying to manage a game night at a store, you want to reward participation. Giving someone something for showing up is the best way to keep them coming back.
Does it suck if you can't make it for all 7 weeks? Absolutely. Do we want people to show up for all 7 weeks? Absolutely. For me, building the online community is more important than who wins the league (even though I know it will be me D:).

Indeed. Ankha's idea would facilitate rewarding repeat play. I'd like to do a little survey at the end about how the league went and suggestions for changes, including alternate ranking methods.
I'm really surprised by the comments. I see that some Methuselah do not see the sense of playing this league. our idea was to gather all the players and more and less active to play one competition for good fun and some people misunderstood everything. we thought that many players would rejoice on what is coming Monday, but now I see that it is not so.
So yous think a player who wins should come to stop to play, and losing players have to play as much as possible.
DJHedgehog if you want to building the online community play this competion 1 time per week is good start for this.
This request that you are claiming to count only good games and wiping out badly who will most certainly help? so the organizers-of course !!!! we who have organized the league will play it each time and it is most suited to us that the 0 VP is wiped and collected GW. we wanted to be equally honest with everyone, but it seems to some that it does not matter.
I do not know if something will change during this league or just next, but please think about the final result of your ideas.
Thanks for your suggestions,
There will now be a final of the 5 best players from each League to determine the Champion, instead of just 1 player simply winning the League by rating points.
I remember there has been a discussion going on, if its too much to give the 1st seeded player seating option(while knowing all other decks), and also the advantage on beeing tied on vp.
Since we are using a multi deck setup, this is also an opportunity to see how much 1st rank is worth without deck spying.(you are still able to choose last where to sit)
Also, since quiet a fair number of people in Europe had troubles joining us as early as 8pm CEST, we now have the start time set to 9pm CEST.
I edited the post to reflect those changes.
We are increasing the timelimit for 5 player games to 2,5 hours.
Please note that games with 4 players still have a 2 hour timelimit.
This change is already effective for the league games tomorrow.
Also, thanks to Kai Kimmerle we now have a Teamspeak Server dedicated to LackeyCCG
