Reminder about proxies in tournament

Since the 07/07/2016 RTR, proxies are allowed for some tournaments per tournament rule 4.5 > 4.5. Proxy Cards > As long as the game is not under production, the organizer of an event that is neither a National Championship nor a Continental Championship can choose to allow proxy cards in his or her event. For events where proxy cards are allowed, several points apply: > > there are no limit to the number of proxy cards a deck can have > every proxy card must be a color-copy of the original card, on standard paper > the quality of the print must allow the reading of the illustrator's name > the organizer must mark the event as 'allowing proxy cards' on the VEKN calendar" > As for VEKN-issued cards, proxy-cards would have to be inserted in an opaque sleeve (along the rest of the crypt and/or library), before a regular VTES card. > > Otherwise, the use of proxy cards is not permitted, unless a judge provides these cards. Believe some of the deck building programs and apps must already have the LK's card images included, in the recent updates. The case is that poxy are still allowed, LK included. But no pdf will be available officially. And is left to each player how he or she would produce his own proxies. it appears that the game isn't considered to fully be 'in production' by Black Chantry and the VEKN. I suspect that once they make enough cards available that a new player can buy a few sets and have the makings of a competitive deck, they'll consider the game "in Production" and rescind the rule allowing Proxies.

Hi! I can't find anything about proxies on GP. Can someone point me on the right direction? Are they allowed? Rulebook states that can't be allowed on National or Continental Championships. Thanks! VEKN#4200008

The only one that allowed proxies was Spain. When I noticed this my immediate thought was that proxies are not allowed in GPs and checked the info and indeed, like Ankha says above, it is left up to the discretion of the organizer. Clearly they must be doing something right in Iberia as I've been reported that there are already around 90 players registered for the event! Big fan of proxies being allowed. It's the reason quite a few people are back into the game. I believe that the game is beyond being hidden behind a pay wall. Anarch converts. Who on earth thinks that a functional Anarch deck should be locked behind a $20-30 1 Cap which you need more than a few of?

And also making the rest of the 98 cards of that set/bundle free... And, completed listings search at Ebay shows, BTW, that Anarch Converts have recently been sold at 1.8€, 2€, 2.6€ and 3€. Quite a far cry from the claimed $20-30... Finnish Politics!

Sure they USED to be more costly. Then BCP reprinted it and the prices came down to reasonable level. No need to refer to the old situation since it doesn't exist any more. Especially if you knew that they cost way less nowadays! Finnish Politics!

All I know is that I'm making more decks than I ever would have with materials I would have never had due to this, so it's certainly beneficial to keep it around. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
