Organized by the coordinators of Spain and Portugal of V:EKN, the cultural association Alcala nocturnal and sponsored by the store Alcala comics and the city council of the city of Alcala de Henares.
Alcala de Henares, a World Heritage City, is a central town located 30 kilometers from Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The tournament will be held on Saturday 28th in its format prix, in addition to another tournament on Sunday 29th if the attendance is important enough.
The cultural center "La galatea" hosts both tournaments. This cultural center is located just 500 meters from the commercial park "Atenea"

If we can announce, that in the place of the celebration of the tournaments free accommodation will be given.
The place is enabled with showers, changing rooms and heating.
You can go with sleeping bag to sleep there at night for participants who are interested and so the experience is more economical

The District IV Pavilion will host both tournaments. Located in Rio Guadarrama Street, 5 in Alcala de Henares Madrid

We are working to close the price of the two tournaments and the free accommodation included is about 25 euros

The place of the tournament, has a pavilion enabled so you can go with your sleeping bag and spend the night there. It has heating and showers. From the night of Friday, April 27, you can spend the night there. Includes Friday 27 and Saturday 28. Included with your ticket of 25 euros.
The hotel closest to the event is the hotel cisneros. About 5 minutes walking.

About this cuestion :Is it a mistake or are the Iberian & Hungarian GPs the same weekend ?
Unfortunately, it is not an error. The Budapest coordinator has decided to put the budapest GP on the same date as the one in Spain. He has alleged ignorance despite the fact that since October of last year the gp Spain was assigned on that date. All this despite the fact that we had a mail group among the GP coordinators.
Orian the coordinator of all the GPs, who by the way did not know anything about this issue because nobody had informed him, is looking for a solution for this question. Personally, I have preferred not to comment on this as an involved party. If I can tell you, I'm very upset.
So for reasons beyond our control, we must delay the pre-registrations to the Iberian Grand Prix. We have had calendar problems in the GP circuit and we are at the expense of changing the background of the tournament. The dates continue being the same and we hope that during the week we will clarify the situation. In the beginning, the pre-registration will start next week

Yes, I'm not saying it was a good thing what Hungary did, and I really hope they can change Hungarian GP date, cause it really sucks to have both tournaments on the same date
The situation has been given as it has been and it has no remedy. We hope to have better communication and will for next year i answered with the information that i had to questions that were asked. Spain and Hungary now have to concentrate on making the best possible tournament for the vtes community.

Luckily the events are located quite a long way from one another and probably not that many players (half a dozen perhaps?) would've participated in both had thy been, say, month apart. Still not happy about this but something I take comfort in...
Finnish Politics!
The VEKN has already decided to keep the two tournaments. It was never considered a change of date from Hungary or of course from Spain. There were about ten players or so who were trying to make the GP circuit. I guess they will be split between the two tournaments. The most important thing now is that both tournaments go as many people as possible.

In your opinion would it be possible to spend Friday night in Madrid and reach the tournament from there ? (And of course go back to Madrid after the tournament? And if so, which part of Madrid we should look for hotels?
