Name: Red Cat Capacity: 4 Cardtype: Vampire Clan: Discipline: Group: 3 Sabbat. Sterile. Strikes from Anarchs inflict +1 damage to Red Cat. Art notes: A pale woman with cat-like ears. Revealing clothing and her hands are red and dripping with blood. World of Darkness Reference: page 67 of the Storytellers Handbook to the Sabbat, she is an NPC in the short plot titled: "A Simple Mission". She is killed by Anarchs in the plot line. This is the same story line that has High Top, Maria Stone, Nettie Hale and Juanita Santiago. How does this card address a compelling game need?: Currently the cheapest Vampire with is Effie Lowery at a 5 capacity and she lacks Presence. Cynthia Ingold has basic presence and superior Spiritus but she is the only 6 capacity vampire with that combination. It isn't until 7 capacity vampires that Ahrimane get both and . I would think the best group to add Red Cat to would be group 3. She has the full discipline set for Ahrimane and with a minor disadvantage that is uncommon but not rare. She would help both Group 2 and 4 options. Created by: Justin Lacey Update: July 24th 2017 No change, she is solid and fits well, no point value or text issues. Red Cat 4 Capacity Group 3 Sabbat. Sterile. Strikes from Anarchs inflict +1 damage to Red Cat. Update: August 22nd 2017 Black Hand is free and I agree with a poster on this thread, it doesn't really change the card to add it. Red Cat 4 Capacity Group 3 Sabbat. Black Hand: Strikes from Anarchs inflict +1 damage to Red Cat. Sterile. Update: September 2nd 2017 Upgraded disadvantage to give +1 Intercept to Anarchs instead of a combat related disadvantage. This means Anarchs that don't run intercept/combat can block her. In testing that seems good since stealth/bleed with her is quite effective. Yes, she can still intercept/combat herself but that doesn't seem to be a problem. In fact, -1 Intercept (which I did try) basically made her useless for intercept/combat and did nothing to curb the stealth bleed aspect. Red Cat 4 Capacity Group 3 Sabbat. Black Hand: Anarchs have +1 Intercept when attempting to block Red Cat.

Which group? (Assuming it would be 3 to help g2 and g4) Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Yep group 3. I will starting adding group numbers. Thanks.

This should be my last update on her as there are no issues to my knowledge.

Nice idea... i re read the same story a few months ago but you were quicker than me : ) As far as i remember her nickname came from unusual luck as she semt to have a skill to come back alive from any kind of mission as she had as much lives as a cat (ok she died still on last scouting one)... i think (or maybe imagined) that she was black hand too but i don t know if it would be worth to add it except if there is a will to help create "voting" black hand decks through presence.

Updated per suggestion.

Black Hand: Strikes from Anarchs inflict +1 damage to Red Cat. Sterile. > The previous iteration felt on the edge to me, this feels just over it, for a 4 cap. Seems to pretty much entirely outclass Juanita Santiago. And while Helen Fairchild has four points of disciplines on a four cap (and a fairly lackluster drawback), she lacks Animalism which is fairly significant when slotting her into an Ahrimane deck. And superior SPI is pretty pokey. It's true that the usual Create-A-Clan rules for Black Hand make it free in terms of points, but they don't make it entirely free because there's a significant restriction on how many vampires can have it, and how much it can turn up in your crypt (because of the max of 2 each crypt construction rules for CaC), which don't apply in regular constructed decks. So I think it's too good for a 4 cap, as it is. The special disability also isn't that bad, given Ahrimane/Howler type decks can be doing a decent amount of Animalism combat - Aid from Bats, Carrion Crows, Swiftness of the Stag - or defensive Presence combat. If you wanted to keep the vampire broadly as is, I'd ratchet the disability up a notch or three. Perhaps keep it reasonably as is, but make it broader (e.g. "older", "non-Sabbat"). Or if you want a specific Anarch flavour to her, perhaps make it more powerful/harder to avoid - perhaps -1 intercept against Anarchs, burns a blood to block an Anarch etc.

Black Hand: Anarchs have +1 Intercept when attempting to block Red Cat. The idea is that thematically the Anarchs caught Red Cat in the story. I was concerned that +1 strength was not a big enough weakiness thus I upgraded it to +1 damage. Since any untitled vampire can go Anarch, it doesn't seem unlikely (but I admit in my circle of decks Anarch is very common).
