Hagar Stone and Discards

How does Hagar Stone interact with cards that require you to discard cards from your hand? Do you replace them? Hagar's special affects only cards "you play". Cards that are discarded with The Barrens for instance are not played, thus you replace them by default. If you want to play Legion, you don't replace it, you discard the rest of your hand (say 6 cards) and draw back as many cards (6) Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
