I'm sorry about asking because I think it should a well known mechanic but.... I still find confusing how impulse and acting out of own turn should be handled. Can someone explain it like I was a 4 years old child? Thank you Lurking in the underground of Bologna, Italy

There are plenty of examples and explanation on the forum: www.vekn.net/forum/6-rules-questions/3387-enkil-cog#3388 www.vekn.net/forum/6-rules-questions/10649-impulse-the-as-played-window-and-you www.vekn.net/forum/6-rules-questions/73024-re-wakes-untaps-and-impulsetiming-windows#73024 www.vekn.net/forum/6-rules-questions/31979-impulse-a-reaction-cards-as-the-action-is-blocked#31979 www.vekn.net/forum/6-rules-questions/31154-re-impulse-question-again#31154 Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

Say "tell me when your done with your minion phase" and or yell when they transfer.

Too early in their turn and you can give away your intentions; or beneficially induce them to pass the impulse (and end their minion phase) with the impression you're going to act. The best play depends on the situation — I think this is one of the less obvious strengths of Enkil Cog. Amaranth Deck Building Tool : VTES NZ : VTES ANZ Facebook

Also remember that after you take your Enkil Cog action, remember that impulse passes on to the player who's turn it is so, if they still have minions which ccould act, they can chose to do so. Finnish Politics!

I think yes, and he has the chance to act at the very end of my minion phase (when all my minion avew either taken an action or declined to)? Lurking in the underground of Bologna, Italy

It's the same thing in combat: if you declare no pre-maneuver, you give the impulse to the opposing minion. If he doesn't use it, combat moves to the maneuver step. Or if you don't maneuver, you can't wait for the opponent to declare that he doesn't maneuver in order to play a maneuver. Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director
