Have any Expansion Sets and/or Card idea's from the community been used? I'm just curious if any ideas from the community have been used in any official expansion? If yes, please give me names of cards. I ask as I have no idea and would be very interested in finding out.

I know that the format used for the new Anarch 3-way cards was discussed on the Forum. I assume there are others as well, but they probably get rebranded and then go through playtesting and could be changed quite a bit. Sometimes it may just be the card on the forum is a 'starting point' for another design. Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

Might be totally wrong on this but I'm under the impression that quite a few of the cards current design team has used in the PDF expansions (which ARE official expansions) have their origins based on community's ideas. Finnish Politics!

Ben mentionned a card that inspired Illusory Resources in the Unaligned set. That must be wesile's: www.vekn.net/forum/30-expansion-sets-a-card-ideas/52499-submission-fake-assets-chi-bleed-defense#52505 Prince of Paris, France Ratings Coordinator, Rules Director

So Juggernaunt & Lonkka, I'm hearing that you both assume/guess certain cards have been used in the last few official expansions. Which I understand might be hard to tell if that was the case or not, due to games designers like to put their ideas or change someone else s idea's, which could be changed slightly or so radically that it resembles little to none of the original mechanics or flavor of the proposed card idea. Ankha: Do you know any other card examples?

I kinda recalled the design lead mentioning something on the matter, hence my comments. > Maddog wrote: > due to games designers like to put their ideas or change someone else s idea's, which could be changed slightly or so radically that it resembles little to none of the original mechanics or flavor of the proposed card idea. > Huh? You make this sound like a consipracy. Most certainly the design team isn't altering anyone's submission to gain a laurel for it. Changes they make are to balance the cards and the game. Not for personal reknown or glory. Sheesh! [EDIT: removed some umlaut typös] Finnish Politics!

This is the original post for the Illusory Resources thread in the Design Team forum: > mikelosaurus wrote: > This is not based on canon but inspired by some recent discussion in the public forums here. During your untap phase a single ready Ravnos you control may burn 1 blood to add 1 counter to this card. You may burn X counters from this card to reduce a bleed against you by X. > As above and this vampire untaps. > Neither Fake Assets from the Card Ideas forum nor any other card idea is mentioned specifically, but it is very probable that the Fake Assets idea and subsequent discussion thread significantly inspired the design of Illusory Resources. As you can see, the card went through some changes over the course of playtesting. During the development of Gerald FitzGerald in Danse Macabre, we looked at some !Tremere designed by Lovre de Grisogono, particularly Hedwilla Bernstaad: www.vekn.net/index.php/forum/30-expansion-sets-a-card-ideas/30430-sabbat-upgrade-g-56-tremere#30431 Our design specs for Danse Macabre identified a need for a couple of mid-cap !Tremere in Group 5, so we contacted Lovre and asked him for his permission to use Hedwilla's special on a 7-cap !Tremere Seraph. He did not give us permission (and was very nice about it), as he intended that special to be specifically for Hedwilla. I recommend checking out his other !Tremere ideas, as I think they are very reasonably designed. SPOILER ALERT! After receiving some requests to include this card in the playtest for the Anarchs-themed set in development, the Design Team chose to do so: vekn.net/forum/30-expansion-sets-a-card-ideas/70798-submission-back-to-the-roots > Maddog wrote: > So Juggernaunt & Lonkka, I'm hearing that you both assume/guess certain cards have been used in the last few official expansions. I also periodically chat with Ben, but can't say I do anything more than be a pain in his ass... like I have done around James . Here in Oct 2014 I tossed out these ideas, which seem to be similar to what has appeared. vekn.net/forum/30-expansion-sets-a-card-ideas/66482-ideas-in-anarchy Retired Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418

@ Lönkka – Sorry if I upset you, that wasn’t my intention. I was asking questions as I obviously don’t know how this works. Reading my uniformed “assumptions” I obviously didn’t phrase or express the question/assumption very well at all. I really don’t think the card designer/play testers are plotting conspiracies and claiming all the glory and achievements of all the communities card ideas. I assumed the design team, make changes/idea’s to balance a card that may be a good idea but may be over powered or possibly needed balancing or changed to meet a discipline/game need. I have only submitted a few cards myself, and I’ve been very happy with the constructive feedback from the community, which mostly has radically changed certain dynamics/mechanics of the card for the better, making it more balanced. It has been good due to the brains-trust/ideas of players proposing changes or questioning the card proposals, which of course is healthy. @ BenPeal – Cheers comrade, thanks for taking the time to giving me (and others I’m sure) an insight into how the process works, appreciate it. I think the design team/play testers are doing a good job with the expansions. I’m really looking forwards to Anarchs expansion especially with crypt being actual Anarachs and possible Barons. @ Juggernaut – Grats and well done, that’s pretty cool. Seeing that you have submit a tone of ideas.
